We all had a wonderful time, the whole group got along and we made life long friends. It was fast, we saw a lot of beautiful places. Our driver was excellent, his name was Chris and our tour leader was Martina ""Marty"" who had a wealth of information since she has traveled the world visiting every country in this world… amazing! We would highly recommend Expat, this was our sixth trip. Safe travels!
This was our first experience with Expat, and we were very impressed with the quality and the value. Kriszti, our Tour Leader, was phenomenal!! We have been on many coach tours in the past, but have never met such a knowledgeable, personable, and caring guide. We felt well taken care of throughout the tour. We can't say enough good things about her. We took advantage of all the available optional excursions, and we would highly recommend this to get a fuller experience. It was our first visit to Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary, and we were pleasantly surprised by their rich heritage and history, and felt very safe there.
This G Adventures trip was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the experience. It can be quite fast paced but it’s a great way to see and learn about lots of places in Central Europe in short amount of time.
Thriving capital cities and friendly seaside villages, hidden mountain hamlets and an Old Town set on the water – Eastern Europe flaunts a pretty impressive display of attractions. On this 26-day adventure, you’ll discover the highlights of this diverse region, plus a whole lot of lesser-known spots. Explore the up-and-coming, once war-ravaged Sarajevo, fall in love with the walled city of medieval Dubrovnik, kick into adventure mode in Ljubljana and feast on regional specialties in Venice, along the Cinque Terre, in Florence and in Rome. With expert local guidance and a small group of like-minded travellers, what more could you need for an epic journey across Europe?
Explore the most prominent tourist attractions in Romania on an 8-day tour from Budapest.
Our tour will take you through the historical regions of Transylvania and Bukovina, where you will discover some of the most famous landmarks in the area, such as the Turda Salt Mine and the Painted Monasteries of Bucovina.
You will also tour two of Transylvania's medieval cities, Sighisoara and Brasov, as well as explore the Saxon settlement of Viscri. Your tour will come to an end in Bucharest, but not before visiting two of Romania's most stunning medieval castles: Peles Castle and Bran Castle.
Please see the detailed itinerary for more information on sites and activities.
A great trip I would highly recommend to those interested in this style of travel, made all the more enjoyable thanks to the skill & dedication of our wonderful tour leader!
DO NOT GO ON THIS TRIP if you're not ok with joining a group that has already been happily travelling together for a week. This is NOT a standalone trip, you're joining partway through on the European Trail.

This trip was absolutely amazing! It has wonderful scenery and architecture. The history of these countries make you think about humanity and the resolve of people. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the countries. The hotels were centrally located, clean and very comfortable. The extra excursions were fun! Best of all the people that were in our group were extremely friendly!
