- Embrace your inner bohemian as you explore one of Rio’s oldest neighbourhoods
- Discover vibrant murals and striking Art Deco buildings
- Gaze across spectacular panoramic views of the city and bay
Wandering the narrow walkways of this bohemian neighbourhood, your local guide will describe its fascinating history. You will pass many galleries and museums, learning how these beautiful eighteenth and nineteenth century buildings were once home to the city’s most prestigious residents.
You will also visit the Chácara do Céu Museum, where you can admire a small but diverse collection of modern art to the backdrop of panoramic city views.
As if the views could not get any better, you will then venture into the leafy grounds of Parque das Ruínas. The sight from the viewing platform of the park’s gallery is guaranteed to take your breath away.
As the tour draws to a close you will stop at the world famous Selaron Staircase, to pay tribute to an example of street art at its finest.
With groups of no more than twelve, this is an intimate journey into the folksy heart of Rio’s favourite neighbourhood.
