The trip "St Francis Way: Rieti To Rome" starts in Rieti and ends in Rome. It is a trekking and hiking tour that takes 8 days taking you through Rieti, Poggio San Lorenzo, Scandriglia and 4 other destinations in Italy. "St Francis Way: Rieti To Rome" is a self-guided private trip that includes accommodation in hotels, transport, meals and others.

During the Middle Ages St Francis of Assisi traversed the ridges and valleys of the Apennines, looking for God’s signs in nature and talking to people about peace, humility and brotherhood. During this final section of the Way of St Francis 'camino' route, explore a less known, beautiful part of Italy, the Sabina, an area in Lazio characterized by green hills and enchanting hamlets, and guarded by imposing castles. Walk through forests, alongside fields, vineyards and olive groves always with a medieval town atop a hill in sight. En route, sample excellent local produce and soak up the warm hospitality of family run accommodation. The final day takes you into the heart of Rome, with all its sights and brimming with atmosphere, a fitting end to your Italian camino.

Day 2 : Short transfer to Maglianello Basso and walk to Poggio San Lorenzo (6hrs)
Day 3 : Continue past the Sanctuary of Santa Vittoria to the village of Poggio Moiano (5hrs)
Day 4 : Walk through olive groves to Nerola (6hrs)
Day 5 : Enjoy views extending to the hills of Sabina enroute to Palombara Sabina (7hrs)
Day 6 : Walk to the historic city of Monterotondo (6hrs)
Day 7 : Walk to Cesarina and take the bus and subway to Rome (4hrs)
Day 8 : Trip concludes

No additional cancellation fees apply for this St Francis Way: Rieti to Rome tour. You can cancel the tour up to 72 days prior departure and avoid paying the full amount, but your deposit paid is non-refundable. No refund applies for cancellations within 71 days of departure.

Payment

For any tour departures within 29 June 2024, full payment is required. For tours that depart later than 29 June 2024, a deposit of 187 USD is required to confirm the tour, and the remaining balance will be charged 71 days before trip departure.
