- Explore Prague Castle, the largest castle complex in the world
The tour starts with a beautiful introduction to Art Nouveau, as you meet your guide outside the striking Municipal House. From here you will explore Wenceslas Square, one of the most well-known squares in Europe. Listen in wonder as your guide captivates you with stories of the square’s history, from the Prague Spring to the Velvet Revolution.
Continue your journey back in time as you explore the colourful stalls of Havelsky Market. This has been a favourite spot for locals since 1232, and is the only market left in the centre of old Prague.
From here you will amble through the old town, exploring the narrow walkways and architectural gems of the area. Gaze at Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches and palaces before heading to one of Prague’s most iconic landmarks – The Astronomical Clock.
After learning about the quirky history of Prague’s Jewish quarter it is time for lunch at a classic Czech restaurant in the old town. Tuck into a hearty meal of chicken or beef goulash and bread dumpling to refuel for the aquatic stage of the Uncover Prague tour.
Vlatva River is the longest river in the Czech Republic, and the most famous. Climb aboard a replica nineteenth century sailboat and be transported back in time, as you sip a local beer and admire the medieval scenery.
After a relaxing afternoon on the river, the tour ends with a tram trip up to the majestic Prague Castle. Be sure to take a sneak peek into the magnificent Gothic cathedral before your Prague discovery draws to a close.
