Starting in Prague and ending in Dresden, the tour "Prague To Dresden Guided Cycle" is a guided bicycle trip that takes 7 days. You will be traveling through Prague, Litomerice, Bad Schandau and 3 other destinations in the Czech Republic and Germany. A guided cycle through the Bohemian countryside from the fairytale city of Prague to Dresden on the Elbe River. Regarded as one of Europe's most beautiful cities with its fairytale ambiance and golden spires, Prague is a fitting starting point to this grand cycle tour to discover the Bohemian countryside and idyllic river landscapes en route to the beautifully restored city of Dresden. The cycle begins by following the Moldau River to Melnik with its great wine growing tradition. It continues along quiet backroads and nature trails along the Elbe River, through classic scenery of hilltop castles, lovingly renovated villages, spa towns and during the last stage, through 'Saxon Switzerland' where massive Elbe sandstone formations have attracted rock climbers from around the world. From the devastation arising from WWII, Dresden has regained its former glory, with its impressive buildings including the magnificent Zwinger Palace.

Day 2 : Cycle to Melnik in the heart of the Bohemian wine growing area (58-70km/35-42mi)
Day 3 : Cycle via the Terezin fortress to Litomerice (50km/30mi)
Day 4 : Cycle to Decin via Strekov Castle (52km/31.7mi)
Day 5 : Cycle across the German border to Bad Schandau (25km/15mi)
Day 6 : Cycle past many historic and impressive sights to Dresden (48km / 29mi)
Day 7 : Trip concludes Dresden

6 nights accommodation in 3 & 4 star hotels on a twin share basis with ensuite facilities (hotel tax in Dresden extra - EUR1.3 pp pn payable locally)

Meals

6 breakfasts - the buffet style continental breakfasts will often consist of breads, spreads, yoghurt, cheese, tea, coffee & juices
3 dinners – these usually consist of 2-3 courses using local ingredients. The meals may be taken at a local restaurant or in the hotel dining room. Dinners are usually in Melnik, Litomerice and Decin (subject to change. The guide will always recommend where to eat in other towns)
