The province of Mondulkiri is an amazing place for nature with many beautiful sights and waterfalls accessible all through the year.

This long trip of 15 days will allow people to meet ethnic minorities in this region and to spend one whole day with the elephants. Visit the forgotten temples of Beng Mealea built as a Hindu temple with some motifs dedicated to Buddhism, Koh Ker, a temple complex organised around an artificial lake. Finally, discover the Preah Vihear temple which is situated atop a 525 meters cliff in the Dangrek mountains.

In Siem Reap, explore numerous sites and the must-see temples: Angkor Wat, Angkor-Thom and Banteay Srei. Later in Phnom Penh, go on a cruise and have lunch on the Mekong River. Visit also the local market, the Colonial District, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda.
Day 1 Arrival in Phnom Penh 2 hours 3 Star Hotel

On your arrival, our guide greets you with your name on a sign. We bring you to your hotel and brief you on important information, especially about the trip progress. Check in at the hotel.

Day 2 Phnom Penh Discovery 10 hours 3 Star Hotel

After a relaxing night, you will get ready for an enjoyable trip in Phnom Penh city. Wake up early in the morning and visit the Royal Palace. The royal residence moved from the former capital Oudong in 1863. Then, visit the Silver Pagoda ("Temple of the Emerald-Crystal Buddha").
Next, continue with the Central Market which was recently renovated by France. Around noon: enjoy an authentic meal in a restaurant at the edge of the Mekong. In the afternoon, visit the National Museum, the Ounalom Pagoda (the most important pagoda in Phnom Penh), the Colonial District (if time permits) and finally the Wat Phnom (Pagoda on the Hill).

Day 3 Phnom Penh : Kampong Cham : Sen Monorom 10 hours Guest house

At 8:00 am, departure to Kampong Cham, approximately 130 km. Discover a village located in the most populated agricultural province of Cambodia. The road passes through Skun village, a transit place where you will meet many kind of travelers. A few kilometers before reaching the provincial town, burn incense sticks in the legendary hills of Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei. Go on to Sen Monorom by crossing the primary forest where wild orchids spread.

Day 4 Mondulkiri : Ethnic Minorities 10 hours Guest house

Drive by 4WD towards the Bousra which is the most important waterfall in Cambodia via the dusty track - possibility for bathing. We shall continue the track to visit different villages where the Phnong and Stieng hill tribes live. Visit a catholic mission with its two churches. On the way back to the town, visit a coffee farm where you can taste its prepared product.

Day 5 Mondulkiri : Elephant Riding 10 hours Guest house

Discovery the Poutain village. Then ride an elephant heading to the waterfalls. You will pass through the green vegetation along a small rapid where the Phnongs relied on its source for planting manioc, banana trees, cashew nut trees, etc. The elephants are well-kept; they "work" maximum 3 hours a day. At some difficult crossing points, walking behind the elephant is required.

Day 6 Mondulkiri : Kratié and the dolphins 10 hours 3 Star Hotel

Early in the morning, you head to Kratie through primary forests. On arrival, take a unique moment in a boat on the Mekong river to observe freshwater dolphins. This endangered species suffers from an inexplicable high mortality rate of the pup, inbreeding, diseases and habitat destruction, especially fishing nets. Optionally, visit the ''One Hundred Columns'' pagoda (in Khmer: Wat Sorsor Muy Roi) and the tomb of the princess Kror Pom Chuk who was, according to legend, killed by a crocodile.

Day 7 Kratie - Stung Treng - Preah Vihear 10 hours 3 Star Hotel

Road to Preah Vihear, the "holy sanctuary". Stop on the road and discover the border town of Stung Treng. Cross the Mekong by the bridge inaugurated in 2015. You have a short break in the Sraem village. In the afternoon, drive to the Preah Vihear, a temple built and dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Drive by 4WD heading to the temple's entrance, then continue on foot. On the peak, explore the wonderful panoramic view of a Cambodian plain. Return back to Sraem village.

Day 8 Preah Vihear - Koh Ker - Beng Méaléa - Siem Rea 10 hours 3 Star Hotel

Departure to Koh Ker, an impressive and abandoned temple situated at 120 km from Siem Reap. After a short break in a hammock, continue the visit with to the forgotten temple of Beng Mealea (Flower in the Pond) built nearby the ancient royal highway. Before arriving in Siem Reap, visit a fantastic and unique village of fishermen in Kampong Pluk, a village bearing 6 months on the water and cut off from the world (only accessible by boat). Arrive in Siem Reap in the late afternoon.

Day 9 Angkor Roluos and Banteay Srei Temples 10 hours 3 Star Hotel

Discovery of the archaeological park of the Khmer empire. Adjust the on-the-spot visit with the guide according to your desire and curiosity (you can also follow the chronological order of the constructions).visit Roluos group temples and Banteay Srei temple (Citadel of the women). On the road return, visit a butterfly farm, visit small temples (Banteay Samre, Prasat Prei, Prasat Tor) Dinner offered with «Apsara» show.

Day 10 Ta Prohm and other temples 10 hours 3 Star Hotel

This whole day is devoted to the visit of the temples located in small and grand circuits: Kravan, Ta Nei, Bat Chum, Srah Srang. Ta Prohm, Banteay Kdei, Pre Roup, Ta Som, Neak Pean, Prasat Pithu, Preah Khan, Preah Palilay and Bakheng for the sunset. These religious temples were built during different periods with a great variety of styles.

Day 11 Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat and other Legacies 10 hours 3 Star Hotel

This day is devoted to the famous Angkor Wat temple and the temples in the former capital Angkor Thom: Bayon, Baphuon, the Terrace of the Elephants, the Royal Palace, the Terrace of the Leper King, Phimeanakas, Chau Say Tevada, Thommanon, Tanei and Takeo. Option: depending on the time left; visit a silk farm (silkworm breeding, traditional weaving, etc.) without extra charge.

Day 12 Siem Reap - Chong Kneas - Battambang 10 hours 3 Star Hotel

Full day boat trip: start at Chong Kneas Pier, you will be transferred to Battambang by a private boat. Cross the Tonle Sap lake and continue by the Sangker river along Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary, and through the flooded forest (6 to 8 hours of motorboat depending on the season). If low water or if you don’t want to spend too much time on the boat, there is the possibility to reach Battambang by the road.

Day 13 Battambang : Colonial City 10 hours 3 Star Hotel

Early morning, on tuk tuk: visit the central market, one of the markets built during the French protectorate. Along the Sangke river, spend a full morning with the Prohoc Market, Samroung Knong pagoda and Ek Phnom temple. You will meet local people and find out their way of life. In the afternoon: drive to Prasat Banon, an attractive 12th-century temple perched on the peak of a hill. Road to Phnom Sampeou. On the top, a set of temples full of monkeys. You will see the “deep canyon of ghosts”, formerly used as mass graves during the Khmer Rouge regime.

Day 14 Battambang - Pursat - Kampong Chhnang - Phnom 10 hours 3 Star Hotel

Leave Battambang city in the early morning. On the way to Phnom Penh, pass through the town of Pursat. Stop at Krokor market, famous for its fish products. Visit by riverboat Kampong Luong, a surprising floating city of 12,000 inhabitants. Continue the road through the Kampong Chhnang province, famous for its floating villages and its potteries. Then, see the sight of Oudong, a former Khmer capital. Visit the village of the goldsmiths in Kampong Luong.

Day 15 Leaving Phnom Penh 10 hours

At 8:00 AM the car will drive you to the Silk Island, a haven of peace at 15 km from Phnom Penh. We have to cross the Mekong by ferry. In almost all the traditional stilt houses, women are weaving silk and cotton fabrics. Option on the way back: visit the Russian Market; visit the museum $21, the notorious center of torture and interrogation under the Khmer Rouge regime. By late afternoon: transfer to the airport according to your flight schedule.
