You will have the opportunity to travel comfortably inside the catamaran or you will be able to walk along the balconies and the deck, which allows you to have the possibility of taking wonderful pictures.
But the navigation is not all, you will land at the Spegazzini Base, a piece of land in the middle of the immensity of the Argentino Lake and the Glacier field. There you will have time for lunch and to walk in the forest through different paths that will take you to viewpoints with spectacular views of the National Park
After picking you up at your hotel at 7 am, we will travel in a comfortable bus to the Port of Punta Bandera, located 47 km from El Calafate.
Once we embark on the incredible boat, the navigation starts on the Northern Arm of Lake Argentino at 9 am. We cross the Boca del Diablo (Devil's Mouth) towards the Upsala Channel and sail among the large icebergs that come off the front of the Upsala Glacier.
Then we will sail the Spegazzini Channel and moments later we will have the first view of the Seco Glacier. We continue sailing up to the front of the Spegazzini Glacier where we will also contemplate the Heim Sur and Peineta glaciers.
During the navigation, our captain will make stops so we can observe the ice blocks from all angles and take the best pictures.
We prepare ourselves to disembark at the Spegazzini Base and, walking through a forest trail, we reach the Spegazzini Refuge. This 300-meter trail is accessible for all passengers and, along it, we will make stops to reach the viewpoints overlooking the entire Glacier Bay. Also, we will reach three stations were we will talk about Glaciology, History and Fauna and Flora. The path is accessible and does not represent complexity since it is done on firm ground.
Once at the visitors refuge we will be able to enjoy the gastronomy, the shop and an incredible panoramic view both from the lounge and from the outside deck and terrace.
For those who like to walk, they will be able to take the mountain trail. This route is a medium difficulty trekking through a wooded path, with natural viewpoints, full of incredible views that ends at the landing point.
Once back on the boat, we will make the second part of the navigation until we return to Punta Bandera around 4 pm.
Return to El Calafate at approximately 5 pm.
