Starting in Passau and ending in Budapest, the "Danube Cycle" tour is a self-guided bicycle tour that takes 14 days. You will visit Passau, Linz, Melk and 10 other destinations in 4 different countries. "Danube Cycle" is a private tour which will include accommodation, transport, meals and others. Cycle along the Danube River across four countries from Passau to the romantic city of Budapest. Discover the history of magnificent Baroque castles and Benedictine monasteries along the winding cycle route that follows the Danube. You will travel from Germany through Austria to Slovakia and conclude your journey in Hungary. Our route visits the great cities of Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest and takes you past charming villages and vineyards. The compelling history of the Danube itself and the nations it links will capture your imagination as you pass by sites of historic interest and significance. A journey that portrays the historic division and contemporary unity of Europe.

CANCELLATION

No additional cancellation fees apply for this Danube Cycle tour. You can cancel the tour up to 72 days prior departure and avoid paying the full amount, but your deposit paid is non-refundable. No refund applies for cancellations within 71 days of departure.

Payment

For any tour departures within 29 May 2024, full payment is required. For tours that depart later than 29 May 2024, a deposit of 191 USD is required to confirm the tour, and the remaining balance will be charged 71 days before trip departure.

Travel Insurance

Danube Cycle tour requires that you have adequate and valid travel insurance covering medical and personal accidents, including repatriation costs and emergency evacuation. World Nomads offers travel insurance for independent travelers and intrepid families.

Visa

For this Danube Cycle tour getting the required visa(s) is the responsibility for each individual traveller, as visa requirements vary depending on your nationality. We recommend to check with your local embassies representing the countries that you are traveling to, as part of this itinerary.

For Solo Travelers

A twin share room may not always be available for solo travelers as it depends on the final number of people on the tour.
