There is so much to see. Our guide Wesley was fantastic. He had so much knowledge. I learned things I never knew about American history. I think the most memorable times were the Korean War memorial and watching the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Everything was great except the walking tour of the Lincoln assignation. It was too long of a walk with no place to sit for senior people. We should have gone in Ford theater and the Peterson house instead of just looking at the outside. More information about what the tour includes and doesn’t include should be given ahead of time. Walking and looking at buildings is not good. The information given was wonderful but could have been given in one place like inside Ford theater.

Staying at the Greenbrier Resort was the highlight of the tour. The bunker tour was extremely interesting. We were given free time to go off on our own. The bus driver was friendly and would provide us with water. Our tour director was accomodating, very knowledgeable, and was a great storyteller.

Overall, excellent however walking expectations were grossly understated. The DC day was extensive and still feel much was missed…needed a second day there or should have had begun upon arrival to include more. While both hotels were elegant the beds at the Shoreham were extremely hard and the bathroom far too small and difficult to maneuver with no grab bar anywhere for stability. The bed was somewhat better at The Greenbriar but the pillows were lumpy! If not from exhaustion from extended walking well over the 2 to 3 miles stated, no sleep would have occurred! It was also misrepresented that we’d have two formal dinners at The Greenbriar. Meals were excellent but the dining areas lackluster….breakfast in the true dining hall definitely the highlight over dinners

I felt it was a good price for everything that was included on the trip. Mike the tour guide was awesome as well as Brandy. This was my first trip with Collette but it won't be my last. It was very well put together I loved all of the places we toured but my favorite stop was the tomb of the unknown soldier. So moving.

Greenbrier Resort was awesome from checking in, restaurant service and excellent meals, extremely friendly staff and very knowledgeable docents who took us on the hotel and “Bunker” tours. Resort is huge and will take time to become familiar. Beautiful golf course with a good restaurant to dine and great socializing.
