This tour of South Africa was amazing, I definitely recommend. It wasn't too full on, there was time to relax, but still got to see so much. There are a lot of long drives, but we did cover a lot of South African Starting in Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and ending in Cape Town. The 2 day Safari was brilliant. However it can get very cold on the Safari make sure you have plenty of layers on, I made the mistake of not wearing enough clothes and got very cold. Although seeing so many different animal's and birds was mesmerising. Zip lining in the rainforest was great fun, although an extra, I was so glad I did it. The whale watching was amazing lots of whales and we even saw the calf with its mother. This was also extra but definitely worth doing. The Penguins colony, also great. The views from the coach of the Garden Route were stunning. Cape Town Harbour is lovely so much going on and a great choices of food to choose from. I would recommend booking extra nights in Cape Town, there isn't enough time to see and do everything in Cape Town. Table Top Mountain was amazing I felt like I was in the clouds. Going to Robin Island for me it was a must do, seeing were Nelson Mandela was imprisoned and listening to a former political prisoner tell his story was very emotional. I would have loved to had 2 or 3vextra days in Cape Town Most of the hotels we stay in were beautiful. I loved this tour.

Excellent

What really made this trip special was how much variety it packed into 12 days. It never felt repetitive. One day we were out on a game drive in Kruger National Park, watching elephants cross the road right in front of our vehicle. Next, we were in a completely different setting, standing in front of Victoria Falls, feeling the spray on our faces. It was surreal to experience such different landscapes and wildlife in such a short span of time. The weather also helped. It was nearly perfect throughout the tour. Mornings were cool and crisp, great for early safaris, and by afternoon it would warm up just enough without being uncomfortable. Every place felt timed just right. Our guide knew when to slow down and when to move on so we never missed anuything. Cape Town, especially, stood out. Seeing the Table Mountain was unlike anything I’d seen before. We took the cable car up, which was an optional tour and the views of the city and coastline were incredible. There was also a nice balance of cultural activities. We also did Winelands tour which yet was another amaing experience. I had some concerns before booking, but everything, from airport pickups to hotel check-ins was butter smooth. I felt safe and taken care of. You should surely give this one a try if you're traveling to South Africa for thr first time.

Excellent

The trip was terrific, and we were guided by excellent CEOs. Their care for us and local knowledge were second to none. The food was outstanding. All the local employees of the lodges were helpful and fun to interact with. The diversity of the wildlife that we saw is off the charts. We had the experience of a lifetime, and the next time we go on a tour, we will go with National Geographic and G Adventure. The staff at G Adventures were great to deal with and made it very easy for us to plan our trip. Everyone did a great job & we enjoyed our South African safari.

Very good tour, the group gelled and we had a lot of fun. The tour leader did a good job, and his knowledge of the areas we travelled to and history was very good. Accommodation was mostly very good. We were taken to nice restaurants where the food was always good and great value for money.

This is the perfect holiday for anybody wanting to experience the real South Africa and have the chance to do as many game viewing safari as they can. The accommodation is perfect, my favourite was Sungunbala, a peaceful oasis in the Drakensberg. Staying in the beehives in Mlilwane is a truly unique experience and one I would highly recommend. It is a full on trip, but it means you can experience and see so much.
