Great trip, full pace (not moderate) itinerary. Tour leader, Sam, driver and assistant took very good care of the group. Sam’s bird life knowledge is great, he shared a lot of information about the birds of Sri Lanka. The trip has a good balance of culture and wildlife. Visited beautiful temples and other sights and enjoyed wild elephants on many occasions. Enjoyed the train ride. Some long days, and too many shopping stops, some not on the itinerary. Not a lot of downtime/relax time. Good hotels.

I can only express words of appreciation for the entire group that accompanied our cycling trip. Ash our guide is very knowledgeable and attentive to everyone's needs and interests. The same goes for the drivers and the other guide present on the bicycle routes. Everything went in the best way. A great trip! I brought home only brilliant memories of my days in Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lanka cycling trip is fantastic. You see such varied landscape, and get away from the tourist trail. There is so much to see, multiple unesco world heritage sites, both natural and man made. A depth of history, 5th century - 12th century and then three colonial periods. The food is amazing - all very fresh, varied and plentiful. The cycling is more than moderate! especially with the humidity. I really enjoyed having a swimming pool at each of the hotels - a chance to refresh at the end of each day. What elevated the trip beyond great, was Ashan, our tour lead. His wealth of knowledge, gentle manner, and leadership made for an exceptional two weeks, that will stay with me for many years ahead.

Wonderful holiday - stunning scenery, delicious food

I highly recommend this trip. The cycling routes were superb, only a couple of days on main routes. Stunning vistas and a wonderful experience in a very unspoilt country of rural beauty. Standard of hotels was very high. The food was delicious. Buffets in all hotels for breakfast but one and likewise for dinner so a very wide range available. People very friendly. Our guide Ruwan was delightful and very knowledgeable. The other activities besides the cycling were also great. Really enjoyed the safari and whale watching. There can be heavy rain in the afternoons so waterproofs essential....

Wonderful Sri Lanka

Absolutely wonderful trip. The country offers so much in the way of beautiful scenery and wildlife and so much better to be able to see it at your own pace on a bicycle. The standard of our accommodation was well above what we were expecting and the choice of food was exceptional - there was a great mix of both Sri Lankan and western food available most days, often via an an all-you-can-eat buffet. The entire trip was made so enjoyable because of the exceptional organisation and knowledge of our group leader Suresh helped by a great local support team.

The most amazing place - go now!

Sri Lanka is a beautiful country and its people the most friendly and welcoming I have encountered. And the place is empty! Firstly covid then the earlier political problems mean tourist numbers are a fraction of the norm. Most hotels we had to ourselves, with only a handful of other guests in the rest. The safaris were also much quieter than usual and it's possible (apart from at leopard sightings) to drive around for 3 hours barely seeing anyone else. I did have some concerns before going, but was reassured by Exodus and they were right - you'd never know anything had happened.
