Norway Tours and Trips 2024/2025

Norway is a gorgeous Scandinavian country with sprawling mountain ranges, beautiful glaciers and diverse wildlife. It’s a nature lover’s paradise! Tromso in the north offers spectacular views of the Northern Lights - or if you’re feeling particularly adventurous you can visit the archipelago of Svalbard near the North Pole! Of course, a walking tour of Oslo is essential for getting to know Norwegian culture.

Kvitavatn - Cross Country Skiing

“This trip had everything I was looking for, fantastic location with a 360degree mountain panorama, classic Norwegian lodge accommodation, healthy yet plentiful food and great leaders. The leaders were effective at developing our skills, in a fun way, yet appreciating we are on holiday. Once our skills were developed we were taken to some fantastic off the beaten track locations. I have never had so many 'wow' moments and taken to lunch spots to die for! The 'apres' ski was varied too, a combination of informative talks, films, a fun quiz and slide show of the weeks pics. Fantastic trip!”
The Best Holiday Ever!

“A great way for a complete beginner to experience cross country skiing and make lots of progress in a short time. We were tutored for nearly 6 hours on each of 6 days so even a complete novice and scaredy-cat, like me, was able to have enough skill to safely negotiate different types of terrain within a couple of days. You WILL fall over, which is fun in the soft snow (although sometimes hard to get back up from) but does hurt a bit on the hard, prepared tracks. The scenery was fantastic, I never felt cold because we were active, and the company was incredibly friendly and supportive. We were with our group (14) for meals, warm up/down exercises and in the evening but we divided into 2 (ability) groups to ski, which worked well.”

“Superb trip. Fantastic walking, each day very different scenery. Great accomodation, with excellent food. Very friendly hosts, felt like you were staying in a private house, rather than a hotel.”

Norway - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

A holiday to Norway should find its way into your bucket list for one single reason - it is one of the most enchanting and beautiful countries. From extraordinary fjords and dramatic glaciers to exotic coastlines and snaky icefields, each known for its unique wildlife, Norway is a world unlike any other. Of course, a trip to Norway would not be complete without viewing the Northern Lights, which always act as a major temptation for travelers visiting Norway.

Tour Highlights

  • Go fishing off the coast of the Lofoten Islands
  • Overcome your fear of heights at Pulpit Rock
  • Cycle through the scenic Flåm Valley
  • Take in the Northern Lights from Tromsø
  • Explore the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo
  • Hike the mountains of the Geiranger Fjord
  • Ride the funicular up Mount Fløien

Travel Tips

  • Norway has four very distinct seasons with weather to match. To avoid disappointment, always research whether your trails or other attractions are open during your visit.
  • Don’t worry about learning Norwegian before you visit. Most people living in Norway have a great command of the English language.
  • If there’s one thing you can’t miss during your stay in Norway, it’s their salmon.
  • Visiting Norway as part of a spa holiday? Be aware of etiquette and always shower before entering the sauna. Some hotels also hire ‘washing women’ to clean you!
  • Be sure to plan your days in advance, as travelling around the country’s near 150,000 square miles isn’t always easy or fast.
  • Are you outdoorsy? Norway is the perfect holiday for you. “Allemannsretten (freedom to roam)" is a traditional Norwegian right, which means you can pitch your tent just about anywhere for an overnight stay.

Norway has seasonal weather so please do check up on the best time to visit Norway before planning your tour. And if you’re still hunting for more things to do and places to explore in Norway, do check out our Norway Travel Guide for more information.
