Norway is a gorgeous Scandinavian country with sprawling mountain ranges, beautiful glaciers and diverse wildlife. It’s a nature lover’s paradise! Tromso in the north offers spectacular views of the Northern Lights - or if you’re feeling particularly adventurous you can visit the archipelago of Svalbard near the North Pole! Of course, a walking tour of Oslo is essential for getting to know Norwegian culture.

Best of Norway truly was The Best!

“Our Norway trip was simply fabulous. The itinerary was perfect in that we were able to see and enjoy beautiful cities (loved Bergen, Geiranger and Oslo), see many fjords and waterfalls, see the tundra and glaciers, and simply enjoy the green, green beauty of the Norwegian farmland. Trollsteigen was especially memorable with the beauty of the waterfalls.”

“The only problem I have with waking in Norway was the tracks . They are in a state of great repair . Ground in places need to be leveled out . Some rocks need to be removed . New soil needs to be placed down in most places. As below”

“Just back from an amazing way to spend New Year. I was slightly hesitant that skiing may not be my thing but it's so accessible to get involved even for the complete novice. What great fun...I've never fallen over so many times and my knees are still bruised but it was worth it! The lodge and the couple running it were so hospitable, the facilities simple Scandi 'hygge' and there was nothing more pleasant than a hot sauna to warm up in at the end of a day in the cold. As a veggie, I was also pleased with the care and attention to providing protein rich options for dinner - the food was hearty and wholesome.”

Norway - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

A holiday to Norway should find its way into your bucket list for one single reason - it is one of the most enchanting and beautiful countries. From extraordinary fjords and dramatic glaciers to exotic coastlines and snaky icefields, each known for its unique wildlife, Norway is a world unlike any other. Of course, a trip to Norway would not be complete without viewing the Northern Lights, which always act as a major temptation for travelers visiting Norway.

Tour Highlights

  • Go fishing off the coast of the Lofoten Islands
  • Overcome your fear of heights at Pulpit Rock

  • Take in the Northern Lights from Tromsø
  • Explore the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo

  • Ride the funicular up Mount Fløien

Travel Tips

  • Norway has four very distinct seasons with weather to match. To avoid disappointment, always research whether your trails or other attractions are open during your visit.
  • Don’t worry about learning Norwegian before you visit. Most people living in Norway have a great command of the English language.
  • If there’s one thing you can’t miss during your stay in Norway, it’s their salmon.
  • Visiting Norway as part of a spa holiday? Be aware of etiquette and always shower before entering the sauna. Some hotels also hire ‘washing women’ to clean you!
  • Be sure to plan your days in advance, as travelling around the country’s near 150,000 square miles isn’t always easy or fast.
  • Are you outdoorsy? Norway is the perfect holiday for you. “Allemannsretten (freedom to roam)" is a traditional Norwegian right, which means you can pitch your tent just about anywhere for an overnight stay.

Norway has seasonal weather so please do check up on the best time to visit Norway before planning your tour. And if you’re still hunting for more things to do and places to explore in Norway, do check out our Norway Travel Guide for more information.
