“Arriving in Oulanka to a meal of Elk and quark We slept in cosy lodges, peaceful in the dark We snowshoed through the forest, skied across a lake And tired to build a quiincee - really quite a lark! The food was simply splendid, the huskie drive a treat, Attempts to scale the ice wall, really quite a feat Basecamp staff were brilliant, the wilderness sublime This trip is one I'd be very happy to repeat!”
