This is tour designed for the festival of color called Holi - a very and colorful festival here in India. We will be cerebrating Holi in a 350 years old fort with the family.
We will firstly fly to the romantic city of Udaipur ( City of Lake ). Here we will among other things visit the Kumbhalgarh fort having the second longest wall after the Great Wall of China.
This tour will also allow us to visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, and also see Amber fort where we will go on an Elephant ride. Another attraction is the Jodhpur Mehrangarh fort.
We will also see Jaipur where we will have dinner with rajasthani cultural dance and music with Horse polo ( royal game of Kings ).
All together this tour is a great combination of Indian art, craft , architecture , History , culture etc - and generally just a great time.
You will be picked up by our designated representative at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi who will drive to your hotel. During the evening time you can visit the India Gate followed by a welcome dinner. Night stay in Delhi.
Day 2 (19 March ) Delhi / Udaipur
After breakfast you will be transferred to the international airport in Delhi to fly to Udaipur. Your most awaited arrival at Udaipur airport will be escorted and welcomed by the representative of Top Indian Holidays. You will be then transported to your hotel for lunch. Later during the evening you will be taken to Lake Pichola for a boat ride for a memorable sunset view of the city followed by night stay.
Day 3 (20March) Udaipur Sightseeing and drive to Kumbahlgarh
Next morning in Udaipur we will start with the famous Saheliyon ki Bari, City Palace and its Museum and all other famous attractions. After a delicious lunch in the best location of Udaipur we will later during the afternoon drive to Kumbhalgarh, where we will have our night stay in Kumbhalgarh
Day 4. ( 21 March ) Kumbhalgarh
Next morning you will start your excursion for Kumbhalgarh Fort which is built on a hill top 3,600 ft above the sea level. The wall of Kumbhalgarh stretches upto 36 Km which is the second longest wall after Great Wall of China. After covering this, come back to hotel for lunch and evening can be enjoyed as per your comfort. Night stay in Kumbhalgarh.
Day 5 ( 22 March ): Kumbhalgarh / Ranakpur / Chandelao
Next morning we will start with a delicious breakfast at Kumbhalgarh. Then you will proceed for Chandelao. On the way to Chandelao, Ranakpur is another monumental glory from glorious remnants of bygone era. Temples of Ranakpur captures one’s attention due to the intrinsic architecture. Later in the evening you will be transported to the 300 year old Heritage Hotel of Chandelao where you can get in touch with rural life of the people with your Heritage walk. Night stay in Chandelao.
Day 6: Jodhpur visit. (23 March )
This day as per the Hindu calendar is the day of Holi Dahan which is an inaugural ceremony before Holi festival. Morning will start with the excursion to mighty Mehrangarh Fort and coming back from fort eminent Jaswant Thada will be covered. After finishing lunch, a brisk walk to the eye catching market will be visited for the famous Bandhej work and textile. Later in the evening you will be taken to the place from where you can witness the joyful celebration of Holika Dehen. Dinner in the heritage hotel will be followed by night stay at Chandelao.
Day 7: Chandelao ( 24 March )
The most awaited day of the tour will arrive with the dawn of 24th march where you will get drenched in the colors of Holi from head to toe. After breakfast greeting each member of the family with a gentle touch of color is the tradition. People play, dance, sing & play feeling free with their soul and tension of the world. This festival is not only about playing and fun activities but also about preparation of special dishes is an inevitable part of Holi. Special preparation of mouth-watering aroma with sweet and sour taste will make you feel heavenly.
Day will be spent in enjoying music and dance with local performers. After lunch you can take rest for feeling relaxed after day long activities. Evening will be spent in leisure time and night stay at Chandelao.
Day 8: Drive to Jaipur ( 25 March )
Next morning you will proceed for Jaipur in the way of extending the celebration of Holi with Pink City. After breakfast you will be transported to Jaipur where evening time will be spent with a folk cultural program based on the Holi celebration theme. Dinner will be served with exquisite Indian wine followed by night stay in Jaipur.
Day 9: Jaipur ( 26 March )
Next morning you will be taken to the Amber Fort which is the marked milestone on the map of Rajasthan. Your excursion to Amber fort will be preceded with an elephant ride. Returning from Amber Fort adjoining monuments like Jal Mahal & Kanak Vrindawan will be covered en route. Night stay in Jaipur.
Day 10: ( 27 March )Jaipur – Agra (4 hour drive)
Morning in Pink city will begin with breakfast and then your departure for Agra. On the way to Agra for lunch you will be taken to Abhaneri which is a famous site due the monuments belonging post Gupta period ie; medieval times. After lunch you will visit Fatehpur Sikri few kilometers away from Abhaneri on the way to Agra. After visiting Fathepur Sikri you will be transported to your hotel in Agra followed by night stay.
Day 11: (28 March) Agra Sightseeing
On very next morning your tour will begin with the tour to the world famous architectural marvel Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Moti Masjid and its nearby places where you will be escorted with our designated and well-learned guide who will take you to the tour of entire city’s tourist attraction places. Monumental marvels of Agra will be covered with a short visit to the nearby local market to feel the handicraft marvel of the city. After the dinner enjoy night stay in Agra.
Day 12: ( 29 March ) Agra- Delhi (4 hour drive)
Another morning in Agra will be about leaving for Delhi from Agra. Before leaving the city handicrafts shopping tour will be taken in the local market where marble items with minute designs and bright colors will compel you to pick at least one for your home. After lunch you will be transported to Delhi followed by check-in hotel and night stay.
Day 13: Delhi ( 30 March)
Next morning will commence after breakfast and then journey for exploring the new and old Delhi will start. Famous monuments like Jama Masjid, Lal Quila (Red Fort), Humayun Tomb, India Gate etc. and not only the monuments but also the colorfully fabricated Chandni Chowk is also major part of attraction shopping in Delhi tour. Later in the evening you can enjoy spicy cuisines of Delhi and night stay in Delhi.
Day 14: Delhi ( 31 March )
This day in Delhi you will visit the Akshardham Temple and Parliament of India. Akshardham Temple is the most splendid and beautiful example of architecture style prevalent in south India’s temple. Parliament of India was constructed in the colonial times and is a national pride. Later in the evening you will be transported to airport for your scheduled departure.
