Unbelievable winter trek to EBC with the BEST crew! Reviewed Tour: Everest Base Camp trek

“My fiance and I recently returned from a winter trek to EBC over 12 days with Green Valley and could not be more pleased with the entire trip! From start to finish, Raj coordinated every last detail, including some slight itinerary rearrangements at my personal request, as well as private cars to and from the airport, duffel bags for our gear, tablets for water purification, and setting us up with the best guide, Gopal!

We were met at the Lukla airport at the start of the EBC trekking route by Gopal, who made sure to take good care of us during the entire trek. Not once did either of us feel out of place and Gopal was always making sure we were comfortable. On colder evenings, he would always ask us if we needed extra blankets. His friendly and respectful demeanor was contagious and everyone we met along the way said he was the best guide they had encountered as well. Gopal was also clearly one of the more experienced guides, having been to many of the high passes/peaks countless times. When another, less-experienced group's guide was fumbling with an altitude-sick client, Gopal stepped in to help with administering oxygen, checking his blood saturation, and making sure he was okay throughout the night, until a helicopter could arrive in the morning. He was consistently helpful by dealing with the permits on the trail, the hotel reservations, and our sluggish pace on steep uphills at altitude. Of all the other trekkers we conversed with, none seemed to enjoy their guide's company as much as we enjoyed Gopal's. In turn, no one seemed to enjoy their trek as much as we did with Gopal.”

BEST TWO WEEKS OF MY LIFE Reviewed Tour: Everest Base Camp Trek

“Unique Adventure International thinks of everything. The entire trek was so well organized. Perfect for my friend and I - two college women exploring Nepal for the first time.

Our guide was a charismatic Sherpa named Heman. His love for the mountains and life was infectious. Within ten minutes of meeting our guide in Lukla, it became obvious to us the Heman was well-known and loved by everyone we encountered. We immediately loved him too. It’s hard not to be excited about trekking to base camp, but Heman made me fall in love with the Kumbu region more than I ever thought was possible.

Our guide’s popularity and experience positively contributed to our entire trek in almost every aspect. We stayed at guesthouses with his friends who eagerly made us feel at home and gave us more food than we needed. Heman told us stories about growing up in Sherpa villages, climbing mountains, and his dream to grow his own mountaineering business. He made us laugh, checked our oxygen levels, and brought us extra blankets on cold nights. Heman became not only a guide but a close friend.

After the conclusion of our trek, Heman continued to check up on us, met up with us in Kathmandu for meals, and even took me rock climbing with some of his friends. The Nepalese people take pride in being so genuine and kind, and I feel lucky that we got to know Heman as well as we did. Heman drove us to the airport, gave us Buddhist scarves to keep us safe on our journey home, and we all teared up as we parted ways.”

“This is my first long trek and I have been sedentary for years. So this trek, despite being labeled as easy, is a really challenging trek for me. I am very glad that my guide, Raju, is very nice. When I got sick on my 2nd and 3rd day of trekking, he carried my bag. He is also kind and patient of us. The view was also extraordinary; I think it is worth all the pain :)”

“We were pleased with the staff we had. The travel guide Sonam and climbing guide Dendi was nice and helpful. They were friendly and worked very hard to ensure that the trip would went well. The trek to the Everest base camp was an interesting warm-up before climbing on Lobuche Peak.
Dendi, is a wise and caring person with good technical climbing experience. Following his footsteps we reached Lobuche Peak summit. We would like to do more climbing under his guidance in future.
Lobuche Peak mountaineering was a bit difficult, but it was amazing.”

“While I found the walk challenging, I look back and are so glad I did it. The guide was wonderful, patient & encouraging. He was able to accommodate the youthful enthusiasm & fitness of my son, while proving me with the support & guidance I needed to get me through the day. Returned home with great memories & a great sense of achievement. So glad we did it as we did, thanks so much for enabling us to do it as we did. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the Langtang trek.”

Adventurers can get into the ultimate thrill of their lives by ascending one of the many peaks in northern Nepal. Popular mountaineering peaks include Mount Everest, Island Peak, Mera PeakLobuche EastChulu West, Pisang, Dhampus Peak and Mount Amadablam. Trekkers can choose from a wide variety of trekking routes from “easy” to “extremely difficult”. Some of the most popular treks in nepal are the Everest Base Camp Trek, Annapurna Circuit Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek, and the Poonhill trek. If you're looking for more remote but yet amazing trekking trails the Manaslu trek, Manaslu-Tsum Valley Trek, Gokyo and Everest Base Camp Trek and the Everest Base Camp 3 Passes Trek are some of the best treks in Nepal. For the very adventurous trekker, The Great Himalayan Trail is a good option because it runs all the way from East to West Nepal, right below some of the tallest mountains on earth.

Rafting, Kayaking and Paragliding Tours

Rafting in Nepal one of its many great rivers in Nepal has always been a popular activity. Whether you are a novice or a Class 5+ rafter, Nepal has plenty of rivers to provide you with a good dose of adrenaline rush.

Some of the famous rivers to explore in a kayak or on a raft are Bhote Kosi, Sun koshi, Trisuli, Karnali, and the Kali Gandaki River, and many others. Nepal is simply a mecca for river rafting and kayaking tours!

Pokhara has also been touted as one of the best places in the world to go paragliding, thanks to its unique geothermal patterns and stunning landscapes.

Chitwan National Park

One of the UN World Heritage sites, Chitwan National Park is a must see for lovers of wildlife. It is Nepal's oldest national park and home to endangered species such as the Royal Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinos and Ghariyal crocodiles. Visitors can explore the park on elephants or in a safari vehicle. It is also possible to spend the night in watchtowers called Machans. If you have 3 days available that’s enough to see Chitwan National Park.

Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, is another UN heritage site that might be of particular importance to the spiritually inclined. This sacred site is not just a draw for religious devotees, though. The shimmering lights, sounds, beautiful temples, sculptures, and manicured grounds are artistic treasures and a pleasure to the senses.

Kathmandu Tours

Kathmandu boasts of seven UN World Heritage sites, so there is plenty to see for the cultural-minded. The Durbar (Palace) Squares in the cities of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan highlight centuries of history, art, culture and tradition in the valley. Also worth the time is a visit to Nepal's holiest site, the UNESCO-listed Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, as well as Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as Monkey Temple), which offers sweeping panorama of Kathmandu valley and playful primates. Another famous attraction is the Boudhanath Stupa.

Things to Do in Pokhara

In Pokhara you will be able to visit many of its caves, extensive water system and the beautiful Fewa lake where one can take a paddle boat and visit Barahi Mandir, an island and temple in the middle of the lake. Other fascinating things to do in Pokhara are mountain bike rides, visit the peace pagoda, strolling up and down lakeside, paragliding, and perhaps a kayak tour down the Lower Seti River, or river rafting down from the Upper Seti section.
