“I recently completed the 14 day trek to Everest Base Camp. It was my first solo trip. Ace the Himalayas took excellent care of me and our guide got us all through the mountains safely. This was truly a wonderful way to experience Nepal. The food, the scenery, the culture is all incredible. Our guide was fantastic. I will definitely travel to Nepal again in the future.”

“As I was alone for the first time in Nepal and dealing with these altitudes was new for me, I decided to book a guided tour. I went at the end of high season and the only one the book the trip, so I was alone with my guide Geljen and our porter. This enabled us to be a little more flexible. The guide was very attentive to my needs and very happy that I was feeling strong&fit. This also meant that he had to make sure we weren't going too fast.
In the end I was very nervous about making the flight back on time. I asked Geljen if we could walk in the middle of the night and he was okay with that. Thanks to this I was able to get a plane earlier - some people did get stuck at Lukla for a couple of days.”

“I had a fantastic trek with Nepal Lion Tours. I did the Annapurna Trek. My guide and porter we’re so cool, patient, and helpful from the start to the end of the trek. The guide and porter were fun to hike with and they made sure all my needs were taken care of along the way. The places they took me were beautiful and the trek was challenging but not at a pace to be uncomfortable. I think Annapurna Trek is a good trek for someone who has some experience trekking or has none and wants to try it out.”

“Beautiful view not too difficult for the beginner. Bhim, our guide is superb! We are family of 3, everyone enjoy the trek and view very much. Each day view is different. Trek up and down is so much fun even tired. The guesthouse we stayed is has the same standard some need a little clean care. We love the trip very much and will be back to trek with this team!”

“I found Nepal Hiking Team on my pre-research on the internet. I always looking for local travel company when traveling. It’s important to me that everything is in good hands, that I can count on them in each of my requirements and that everything is organized well. Local tour providers always know their country best!
When I start my mail conversation with Ganga from NHT, I had a very good feeling that this is it – this is the professional company I want to go with to Nepal!
I had to change a bit my itinerary and all was perfectly accepted by NHT, exactly according to my needs, to my full satisfaction.
Nepal Hiking Team were in one word excellent. 5 star service with smile. Ganga and Balaram were always very responsive and helpful via email to answer all my questions and worries regarding the trek and weather (I took Everest Panorama trek and tour to Chitwan National Park), accommodation, booking, payment.
Everything was organized perfectly with no hassles and everything was transparent, with honesty and smile – from alternative way by helicopter to get to Lukla, because the bad weather didn’t allow plane landing, and in order not to lose time, to very nice and extremely patient and supportive, friendly and helpful guide Bishal who helped me with the bag during the trek in Himalaya, and took care of my accommodation and food during the trek, and above that was a great companion and friend, to private transfer to Chitwan park on really not so easy road, to transfer to and from the airport (it was a pleasant sight to see the NHT representative’s smiling face and warm welcome), to perfect choice of Kathmandu accommodation – Kathmandu Suite home hotel, which I warmly appreciated specially when I finally took a hot shower after return from the Everest trek after 6 days without proper hot shower and many many other examples.…

Highly recommend. Both trips organized by NHK exceed my expectations. And I have to say I couldn't have done this all without their perfect organization. There is truth in the saying ‘it’s more about the journey than the destination’, and with the Nepal Hiking team they made my journey so much more enjoyable.
Nepal is stunning Himalayan beauty, and part of than beauty is its people!

Thank you all and wish you lot of satisfied clients!
Namaste”

Tours and Holidays in Nepal

Below we are highlighting some of the most famous tours and holidays in Nepal. Due to its mountainous terrain Nepal offers excellent tour opportunities within trekking and climbing, kayaking, river rafting, and mountain biking, all activities where Nepal excels compared with other destinations around the world.

Trekking and Climbing in Nepal

Adventurers can get into the ultimate thrill of their lives by ascending one of the many peaks in northern Nepal. Popular mountaineering peaks include Mount Everest, Island Peak, Mera PeakLobuche EastChulu West, Pisang, Dhampus Peak and Mount Amadablam. Trekkers can choose from a wide variety of trekking routes from “easy” to “extremely difficult”. Some of the most popular treks in nepal are the Everest Base Camp Trek, Annapurna Circuit Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek, and the Poonhill trek. If you're looking for more remote but yet amazing trekking trails the Manaslu trek, Manaslu-Tsum Valley Trek, Gokyo and Everest Base Camp Trek and the Everest Base Camp 3 Passes Trek are some of the best treks in Nepal. For the very adventurous trekker, The Great Himalayan Trail is a good option because it runs all the way from East to West Nepal, right below some of the tallest mountains on earth.

Rafting, Kayaking and Paragliding Tours

Rafting in Nepal one of its many great rivers in Nepal has always been a popular activity. Whether you are a novice or a Class 5+ rafter, Nepal has plenty of rivers to provide you with a good dose of adrenaline rush.

Some of the famous rivers to explore in a kayak or on a raft are Bhote Kosi, Sun koshi, Trisuli, Karnali, and the Kali Gandaki River, and many others. Nepal is simply a mecca for river rafting and kayaking tours!

Pokhara has also been touted as one of the best places in the world to go paragliding, thanks to its unique geothermal patterns and stunning landscapes.

Chitwan National Park

One of the UN World Heritage sites, Chitwan National Park is a must see for lovers of wildlife. It is Nepal's oldest national park and home to endangered species such as the Royal Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinos and Ghariyal crocodiles. Visitors can explore the park on elephants or in a safari vehicle. It is also possible to spend the night in watchtowers called Machans. If you have 3 days available that’s enough to see Chitwan National Park.

Lumbini

Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, is another UN heritage site that might be of particular importance to the spiritually inclined. This sacred site is not just a draw for religious devotees, though. The shimmering lights, sounds, beautiful temples, sculptures, and manicured grounds are artistic treasures and a pleasure to the senses.

Kathmandu Tours

Kathmandu boasts of seven UN World Heritage sites, so there is plenty to see for the cultural-minded. The Durbar (Palace) Squares in the cities of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan highlight centuries of history, art, culture and tradition in the valley. These historical places are a host to opulent palaces, incredible woodwork and masonry, and impressive art galleries. Also worth the time is a visit to Nepal's holiest site, the UNESCO-listed Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, as well as Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as Monkey Temple), which offers sweeping panorama of Kathmandu valley and playful primates. Another famous attraction is the Boudhanath Stupa.

Things to Do in Pokhara

In Pokhara you will be able to visit many of its caves, extensive water system and the beautiful Fewa lake where one can take a paddle boat and visit Barahi Mandir, an island and temple in the middle of the lake. Other fascinating things to do in Pokhara are mountain bike rides, visit the peace pagoda, strolling up and down lakeside, paragliding, and perhaps a kayak tour down the Lower Seti River, or river rafting down from the Upper Seti section.

Mountain Bike Tours in Nepal

Nepal is a mecca for mountain bike enthusiasts. If you’re in Kathmandu Valley you will be able to find a host of different mountain bike tours, and the same goes for Pokhara. If you’re looking for adventurous mountain bike tours it is possible to mountain bike the famous Annapurna Circuit trek , or even magical Upper Mustang.
