Great place, even better people!
5 - Excellent
  • Anna Middleton
“My sister and I went on a trek with this travel operator in January. We went to the Langtang Valley and had an amazing time. They made everything easy. Gokul and Asmita were helpful and responsive organizing logistics and getting us ready. The hike was unbelievably beautiful but the real highlight was getting to spend the week with our guide Som and porter Prakass. They were so kind, professional, funny, smart and fun. They taught us so much about the region's history, ecology and cultures and were patient enough to teach us Nepali and let us try to use it!! We knew our guides would be great, but we didn’t expect them to be so funny and fun! They kept us laughing so hard. We felt very looked after, cared for, and safe with their guidance. We couldn’t have imagined a better experience and if we return to Nepal someday we will absolutely hire them again. Thank you Gokul, Asmita, Som and Prakass! It was a experience we will never forget.”
"Thrilling Trek: Everest Base Camp

“My 10-day Everest Base Camp trek with this tour operator was an unforgettable journey. From start to finish, their attention to detail and expertise made the experience seamless and enjoyable. The trek itself was breathtaking, with stunning views of the Himalayas at every turn. The highlight was definitely the helicopter return, providing a unique perspective of the landscapes we had just conquered. The guides were knowledgeable and supportive throughout, ensuring our safety and comfort every step of the way. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to embark on a memorable adventure in the Himalayas.”
Best Everest Base Camp Trek Experience!

“We did Everest Base Camp Trek, one of the most beautiful experiences of our life! It was an exhilarating and life changing experience. The views were stunning and even for second you can't close your eyes. We were also introduced to the Sherpa culture and saw Tibetan Gompa along the route which added to the trip's beauty. The tour company staff were very supportive and professional. They took care of us from arrival to departure. We are very much thankful to them for making our trek to EBC a success. We spent a total of 14 days in Nepal for the trip, the trek itself was 11 night 12 days with 2 acclimatization days in Namche and Dingboche. We had to wait for a few hours to get our flights from Lukla due to weather conditions. But the thrilling flight was well worth it. We are fully satisfied with our decision to choose this trip and would back again for Annapurna Base Camp in near future.”

Nepal Tour Packages for Family

You can enjoy a wide range of Nepal tour packages for families. Here are some of our favorite Nepal itineraries for families:

  • Explore the cultural heritages in Kathmandu Valley with family: Let your kids unwind at a trampoline park, an indoor ice skating rink, water park, or a wall climbing center to set the tone of the vacation. Then embark on a culturally enriching day for both kids and adults by visiting Basantapur Durbar Square. Enjoy some traditional Newari or Tibetan cuisines for a family dinner or explore the buzzing streets and alleyways to shop for curios and souvenirs on a cultural tour in Kathmandu.
  • Family Fun in PokharaTake a casual family outing in Pokhara around the lakeside or enjoy an afternoon boating in one of the lakes. Phewa Lake is the most popular one, where you can paddle your way to the beautiful Tal Barahi Temple. If you want a more peaceful escape, avoid the crowds at Begnas Lake. For more fun and excitement, head to Sarangkot for paragliding or ziplining. But do make sure that your children are above the stipulated age limit.
  • Greet the Wildlife in Bardia National Park on a family safari: Head to Bardia National Park and take a guided jungle walk, a jeep safari with your loved ones and catch the sights of the endangered Bengal tiger and one-horned rhinoceros. If you want to extend your stay, the kids can enjoy camping nearby and visiting a village inhabited by the indigenous Tharu community.

Travel experience and benefits of a family tour in Nepal

  • If your family is starting to get weary or is short on time, opt to explore Kathmandu by rickshaw. You’ll save time and your kids will love weaving in between the traffic.
  • You can benefit from luggage and porter services that whisk your bags from stop to stop while you and your family can enjoy the vacation.
  • Some tours can feel too tedious for children, hopping between temples with no time for fun. Choosing a tailored tour specifically for families is a great way to keep everyone happy.
  • Permits or tickets may need to be booked months in advance. When you book a family tour, all the major permits are included. Some short treks, like Poon Hill, do not require permits for kids under 10.

Tips when doing a family tour in Nepal

  • The Himalayas are cold but the UV rays up there is no joke. Bring some child-specific sunscreen with you as you may struggle to find it locally.
  • If you are taking your children on a trek, make sure you have a couple of practice weekends back home so your kids know what to expect.
  • Nepal is a super family-friendly country and its culture is massively family-oriented. So if you can stay in a homestay, it will be a wonderful experience for all involved.
