The trip Gorillas, East & Southern Africa Encompassed starts from Nairobi and ends in Cape Town. This is an adventure tour that takes 71 days. You will travel through South Luangwa National Park, Sesriem, Chitimba and 41 other destinations visiting Tanzania, Uganda and 7 more countries. This is a guided group tour. The trip includes accommodation, transport, meals and others.

This great African safari takes you from the mountains, forests and plains of East Africa to the wildlife parks and deserts of the south. Along the way you will experience at very close quarters Africa's most spectacular wildlife and visit some of its finest national parks, such as the Serengeti, Masai Mara in the east and Chobe and Etosha in the south.

You will meet mountain gorillas and chimpanzees in Uganda and elephants, lions, cheetahs and more in Tanzania and Kenya and again in Botswana and in Namibia. However, it's the raw experience of walking safaris to find white rhino in Zimbabwe and canoeing down Zambian rivers in the Lower Zambezi region that get you right up close to Africa's flora and fauna.

It's a wonderful journey through so much of interest and we take it slowly allowing time, to really allow the continent to get under your skin. Although, the area has a great infrastructure for tourism, we will also get you away from the tourist trail and genuinely off the beaten track.

Local Payment The local payment is a group fund, paid separately from the trip price on the first day of the tour. It covers everything that the group does together on the ground. This is primarily hotel accommodation and campsite fees, meals whilst camping (but not while eating in restaurants), and included activities and puts money directly back to the local community. The local payment, or kitty system, is unique to overlanding tours and provides maximum flexibility and best value on the road - you can see exactly what is being paid for, you get everything at cost price, it keeps costs competitive by leveraging group expenses and saves on administrative costs. The fund is run by the tour guide, and any excess left over at the end is returned equally to the group. Local prices are estimated in USD when we print the brochure then reviewed monthly as local costs and exchange rates vary throughout the year. It's therefore important once you book your trip to check the website regularly and just before departure for any changes to the amount.
