Also the tour begins and ends in a town outside of Rome. the only way back is to take a tram at midnight. It did not feel safe in the tram, and the main station for central Florence on the tram leaves one at 1am at the train. station, probably the least safe area of the city. The tour operator was quite cavalier about there being no way to get a taxi unless one wanted to wait an hour. deeply unpleasant end to a pleasant (tho NOT spectacular) evening"
