Starting and ending in Muonionalusta (rajamaa), the tour Lapland Wilderness Week is a guided explorer trip that takes 8 days. You will be traveling through Muonionalusta (rajamaa) and Rajamaa in Finland and Sweden. Lapland Wilderness Week is a small group tour which includes accommodation, transport, meals and others. Please see the package includes section for further details.

This winter adventure takes us to the heart of Lapland, some 200 km above the Arctic Circle, where nature is raw and powerful and deep endless forests and mighty rivers dominate the landscape. We base ourselves at Rajamaa, where the Malmström family have been welcoming guests since 1986. Situated on an island in the River Muonio between Sweden and Finland, the local village has only seven inhabitants two of which are our hosts for the week! Immersed in one of the most spectacular untamed wilderness areas Europe has to offer, we spend a week learning about the Sami culture and connecting with nature while trying a variety of activities including dogsledding, snowshoeing and forest skiing. Our trip culminates with a two-day expedition in the forest, where we stay overnight in a traditional log cabin and, with luck, enjoy the magical display of the Northern Lights.

“What an amazing trip! I cannot thank the Exodus team enough. This really exceeded my expectations every Inca step of the way. The tour guide was amazing, the porter team could not have looked after us better, and the whole experience was fantastic. The trek is tough, but so rewarding. Getting to the top of dead woman's pass on day two made me feel like Superwoman! The country of Peru is so beautiful that the views brought tears to my eyes. I cannot recommend this trip enough - just book it and see!”

“Five quite different walks around various locations on Tenerife. The environments varied from shady paths through primary forest to the barren volcanic landscape high on Mt.Teide. The 'moderate' grade is a bit low in my opinion, walkers expecting five easy walks will be in for a big surprise!”

“Emanuele was an excellent guide. He went above and beyond to create a truly memorable cycling trip for all the people on the tour. This trip is a photographers mecca, the towns we visited were so unique, beautiful scenery and visiting UNESCO world heritage sites. An excellent group of like minded people whose company we all enjoyed sharing a laugh over a beer at the end of the day.The roads we cycled were very beautiful, mostly very quiet and a couple of days were more challenging with the hills but quite manageable. The accommodations were truly memorable from Sassi to Trulli to a Convent.”
