Book this eight-day, private tour with us and summit Mt Kilimanjaro, the roof of Africa, via the Lemosho route. Your journey starts in Moshi, from where we will transfer you to Londorossi Gate. The route starts on the western side of the mountain then continues east over three days to join the Machame route. As you continue eastward, you will pass below Kilimanjaro’s southern ice field before advancing to the summit.

The Lemosho route is often regarded as the most scenic route in Mount Kilimanjaro. It offers wide, open vistas of Kilimanjaro's peaks at multiple locations throughout the journey. This is also a relatively new route with less people. Plus, it gives you the chance to spend more time in the mountain, which means that you acclimatise better.

Traveling with you during this trip will be an experienced team of mountain guides, waiter, cook and porters who will assist you in every step of the journey.

Crazy Wild Experience!
“Never in my life have I felt so exhausted, but fulfilled. I thought of giving up an hour in on summit night but my son encouraged me to keep going. After a 6 hour climb we reached the summit - the Roof of Africa. Another bucket list item completed!”

Lemosho Route - Great Choice!
“I hiked the Lemosho Route with friends in Mid-January 2020. This route was perfect for us because we had a mixture of beginner hikers and more advanced hikers in our group. The route was beautiful and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great scenery while on the mountain.PROS:- The guides and team of Kopa Tours were great! Our guides were constantly checking on us and talking with us as we climbed the mountain over 8 days. It made the beginners in our party feel very comfortable.- The Lemosho Route was a wonderful route to take, I'm glad we chose this route.CONS:- There are a lot of soups served, make sure to bring some crunchy snacks (I would have killed for some Cheetos).- Going in January, there wasn't much cloud cover. I didn't pack my hat and had to wear extra sunscreen.Overall, it was a great trip!”

Other Practical InformationTanzania has two wet seasons, from March to May and November to December. Dry seasons last from June to October and January to February. However, once in the mountain, you will face a multitude of climate conditions regardless of the season. This is due to the five distinct climate zones on Mount Kilimanjaro.
