Our trek takes us up the Machame route allowing us to camp and fully appreciate the splendor of our surrounding and the clear night skies. The terrain changes as you ascend the mountain, passing through thick forest, moorland and scree enroute to the highest point of the mountain, Uhuru Peak. This is a challenging trek, not made easier by high altitude exposure. You will be the highest free standing mountain in the world, and surely be impressed with its beauty.
The Machame route traverses the southwest side of Kilimanjaro passing underneath the Lava tower and the final section of the Western breach and finally reach camp at Barranco camp. We will then proceed onto Barranco, into the Karanga valley, to Barafu, Stella point and finally reach Uhuru peak, Mt Kilimanjaro's highest peak at 5,895 m.
