  • Enjoy the beautiful views as Lemosho is considered the most scenic route on Kilimanjaro
  • Experience the solitude and low traffic on this route to Kilimanjaro
  • You have a higher probability of making it to the summit on this route
The Lemosho route is one of the newer routes on the mountain, and a superb choice for your climb. It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low traffic, beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate. Most of our clients use this route and love it.

The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west, beginning with a long drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. From there, the first two days are spent trekking through the rainforest to Shira Ridge.

Unlike the popular Machame route, which simply intersects the Shira Plateau, the Lemosho route crosses the entirety of the plain from west to east in a pleasant, relatively flat hike. An added bonus is that climbers will encounter low traffic until the route joins the Machame route. Afterwards, Lemosho follows the same route through Lava Tower, Barranco and Barafu, known as the southern circuit. Descent is made via the Mweka route.

An Incredibly Amazing Experience
“We had a very well organized Kilimanjaro trek with Migration Venture Africa. Our guides, porters and cook were with us all the way from the moment we started off our trek. They took excellent care of my sisters and me on our epic journey to Uhuru peak. The trek is not easy and it took proper planning, excellent equipment, and proper nourishment. The crew under chief guide Vitalis inspired us to the top, helping us when we faltered and showing us the best way to tackle the Lemosho trail and sharing information about the sights of Kilimanjaro.I have to commend Musa our camp cook for the delicious meals. You are an incredibly good quick.I definitely recommend Migration Venture Africa.”

Amazing Experience!
“Our private trek tour hiking Lemosho route for 8 days with Migration Venture Africa was the best choice we could have made as beginners. Our guide was very friendly, patient, uplifting, funny, very supportive and helpful he gave us the time we needed and we could not have made it to the summit without his support. Thanks again to our guide Mushi! The porters were amazing too. We had delicious foods during the whole trip and basically everything was well arranged.
Even though it was very tough for us, we felt like the queens of Mount Kilimanjaro because of the great service.
Trekking on Mount Kilimanjaro was an Amazing experience!
I would Definitely recommend Migration Venture Africa for other Climbers”
