“We had two days (one weekend) to explore Mexico City. After scouring the web for tours we landed on the Urban Adventures Beyond Mexico City: Hidden Teotihuacan & Family Dinner. We were looking specifically for an intimate small group tour and this sounded like a good fit. There were 8 people total in our group - 2 Brazilians, 2 Australians, 3 Californians and the tour guide from Mexico City. We met our guide, Caesar, around 12pm on a Sunday in the city center and strolled through town to public transportation. This part was easy and painless. Caesar carried the bus and metro tickets, all we had to do was hop on! He made sure to connect with each person on the bus journey and shared more information about the area. Once we arrived in Teotihuancan, we explored the underground temples and climbed the pyramids. There's also a Teotihuacan museum that you can explore. Caesar has a passion for ancient history and is extremely knowledgeable about the pyramids. We then walked to the charming town of San Francisco, at the base of the archeological site, where we met local families. It was so special to sit in a family's backyard, drink tequila and agave liquor from their own agave plants, and learn more about the history of the land. The family dinner was delicious - best meal we had all weekend (and that's saying a lot considering how delicious the food is in Mexico City) ! We would highly recommend an Urban Adventure tour and will look out for the company in other cities we visit.”

“More informative and better guided than we imagined it would be.”

Ready for the ultimate afternoon in Miami? This tour combines two our favorite Miami experiences (Little Havana Adventure and Wynwood Art & Beer) into one epic adventure!

Your fun-filled Miami tour begins in the heart of Miami’s Cuban community where we’ll check out some historic architectural beauties, as well as a few unique art collections.

Of course, you can’t have a Little Havana tour without an authentic Cuban coffee in-hand, so we’ll take you for the most delicious dose of caffeine you’ll find this side of the Florida Straits. Cortadito is Cuban espresso and we’ll pair it with a typical Cuban pastry to give you the boost you need to keep moving on your Miami tour!

Next up, another Cuban culture classic: a visit to a classic cigar factory. Witness the art of cigar-rolling from the experts and take in the one-of-a-kind aroma of the shop.

From there, we’re off to visit one of the many locally owned art galleries in the neighborhood where you’ll meet and hear stories from first-generation Cuban immigrants and learn about the influence of Cuban art in Miami.

We’ll pass by the Bay of Pigs monument on route to our favorite local juice bar, where you can quench your thirst with a dose of sugarcane or mango juice.

We’ll then take a stroll down SW 8th Street to experience the Caribbean flavour that fills the air, from the Domino Park where locals challenge one another to domino games to the catchy conga music that plays everywhere you go.

Your Little Havana Adventure will end at one of the neighborhood’s best watering holes for a taste of a classic mojito. You’ll then travel via Lyft or Uber with your guide to the Wynwood Arts District, where the second half of your tour will take place.

You’ll begin this part of your tour with a visit to the famous Wynwood Walls and Wynwood Doors, featuring some of Miami’s most iconic street art.

From there, we’re heading off-the-beaten-path to the Wynwood neighborhood, where you can view iconic murals, mosaics and graffiti art. On 2nd Avenue we’ll stop at galleries featuring fine art, pop art and contemporary art from notable artists.

Next, we’ll take a break at a trendy brewery next to test out a beer made in-house (or alternatively a non-alcoholic beverage).  While you’re enjoying your drink, your guide will talk you through the history of beer in Miami, you’ll learn about the beer-making process and we’ll discuss current local beer culture in Miami.

After the brewery, we’ll take you past a local coffee shop that roasts their own coffee, as well as a great neighborhood marketplace (Fridays through Sundays only). We’ll also stop for one of the most popular spots in the area for a tasty snack.

More murals, more street art and more people-watching come next as you pass by trendy local shops and head toward the final stop of the day. Enjoy another beer (or non-alcoholic beverage) in one of the best atmospheres in Miami.

We’ll bid farewell from there, but if you need any hot Miami suggestions for the rest of your stay or you need help getting back to your accommodation, just ask!
