“This tour provides a good way to travel from Palenque onward to Tikal, visiting two fabulous Maya sites along the way. The travel in Mexico was first-rate, although the cabin in the Lancandon jungle was quite basic. Private bath, but no hot water. And the stay there was not a culturally interesting one. It was just a room for the night. Once across the border, transportation is by colectivo, and it's a bumpy and slow 5 hours to Flores. But still, if I had to choose again, I would definitely take this tour.”

It also gave us the opportunity to sample a wide range of different Mexican foods including a lesson on how to prepare, cook and present a typical Mexican meal. Also interesting to see the varied wildlife and often stunning scenery.”
