- Marvel at the wonders and stories of the Teotihuacan Pyramids
- Learn and experience little-known ingredients of Mexican life
- Dine on traditional Mexican food in a Mexican family home
From here we stroll through the streets of the nearby town, stopping by to learn about a variety of unique elements that formed this ancient society. We will visit a family run business that still makes obsidian, the material that shaped a majority of Teotihuacan tools and statues. We can indulge in the sacred drink pulque, taken from the much-loved and used cactus plant. We will also stop by a cactus product factory, where we will see the process of using this plant, and sample the results in the shape of candies, jams and other treats.
An amazingly unique experience will finish off our day, with the opportunity to be cooked for and dine with a local Mexican family. This is where you will experience the real flavours of Mexican food, with lovingly cooked traditional dishes to be shared amongst new friends, while sharing traditions and customs and generally enjoying the warmth and friendliness of Mexican hospitality in the family home.
