The tour Landscapes Of Matera And Puglia Cycling starts from Matera and ends in Monopoli. It is a bicycle tour that takes 15 days taking you through Monopoli, Alberobello, Ostuni and 6 other destinations in Italy. Landscapes Of Matera And Puglia Cycling is a self-guided tour that includes accommodation in hotels, meals and others.

This fourteen night, self-guided cycling holiday takes in some of the highlights of Basilicata and Puglia in Southern Italy [1]. Starting in the UNESCO-listed Matera, known for its rock churches and Sassi houses, you'll have a free day here to explore before setting off on your bike to head to the neighbouring region of Puglia. Firmly tucked away 'on the heel of Italy's boot', Puglia offers extraordinary variety and beauty with a dramatically rugged coast, providing a total contrast to the lush green interior. You'll ride to Gravina, one of the most important Roman cities along the Appian Way and continue on through the Alta Murgia National Park (the largest natural park in Italy) with a stop at Castel del Montewith its iconic castle. Your cycle route then heads to the Adriatic coast, to Trani, one of the oldest and liveliest cities along this stretch of coastline. Follow the coastline for the last two days stopping in Bari before heading inland. Here, you'll be intoxicated by the rich colours of the landscape, olive groves, fruit orchards, vineyards and ruby-red fields, all intensified by the wonderful limpid light of the Adriatic. Highlights include staying in unique Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visiting the postcard-pretty white village of Ostuni as you wind your way back towards the sea.[1] taxonomy/term/310

“This trip was fantastic. The guides, David and Ende were very knowledgeable, and excellent cooks!! They had a trainee, Colly, with them who knew a lot about tracking and local knowledge. We saw so many animals. It was wonderful to see them in their natural surroundings. I really enjoyed the walks, which were varied. However, the weather, and time beat us on Sentinel Peak, which was disappointing, but it is expected as it's winter in South Africa at the moment. A truly wonderful trip. I recommend it wholeheartedly!!”

“My first holiday in South East Asia and my first cycling holiday! I absolutely loved every moment. It won't be my last cycling trip: seeing beautiful countryside, meeting locals, eating delicious food, great accommodation ranging from hotels to homestay, lovely cycling group and great memories that will stay with me!”

“This was my first group adventure trip, and therefore my first trip with Exodus and I couldn't have been more impressed. It was well organised, ran smoothly, covered a great selection and variety of destinations and activities, the group leader was brilliant and the group was lovely. I did the August solo departure and there was a really good range of people (ages ranged from 20s to 70s, with everything in between; and a good mix of fellow 'first timers' to others who had done several other Exodus trips)”
