Start in Marazion and end in Mevagissey, the tour South West Coastal Path: Marazion To Mevagissey is a self-guided walking tour that takes 8 days. You will travel through The Lizard, Falmouth, Porthleven and 4 other destinations in England. South West Coastal Path: Marazion To Mevagissey is a tour which includes accommodation, transport, meals and others.

Walk along the southern section of the Cornwall Coastal Path. This holiday includes a wonderful variety of coastal scenery ranging from sheltered tidal creeks to the wooded Fal estuary and the brooding cliffs of the Lizard, England's most southerly point. The whole area is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Its mild climate permits even palm trees to flourish and Cornwall is the home of some of England’s finest gardens. Cornwall historically is the land of smugglers, shipwrecks and dark deeds in secret hidden coves, many of which you will pass through on your walk. It has literary associations with the poet John Betjeman, who was tongue-tied by the spectacular cliffs, Virginia Woolfe and of course, the novels of Daphne Du Maurier. The scenery is as spectacular and picturesque as the tiny fishing villages. There are superb beaches, marvelous bird watching and botanical spots, and sunsets that will stay in your memory long after you leave. There are those who have completed the whole five hundred miles of this wonderful long distance trail, who’s after dinner conversation touches on little else. Our moderate little week’s walk can have just as powerful side effects.

“We really enjoyed this very scenic walking trip. It was fairly challenging in a good way, with lots of up and down along the coastal cliffs. We shortened one of the longer days when the weather turned rainy and this was easy to do by calling a taxi from one of the towns. The variety of walking paths and coastal scenery was superb, with dramatic cliffs and sandy surfing beaches, and the food in all the B&Bs, restaurants and little beach huts was so very good.”

“We took a self-guided tour in Cornwall from Marazion to Mevagissey. It was our first experience of the kind and we absolutely loved it. It was very convenient to have all the accommodations, itinerary and luggage transfer arranged for you and, in my view, it was very well worth it. The tour was easy to book, the communications with the tour consultant were very satisfactory and the overall experience was extremely positive and inspiring. It's very likely that we will book some other walking tours with Sherpa Expeditions. For overseas customers like ourselves, I recommend to tack on a day in Penzance before the tour (we went to the Minack Theatre and walked around in Penzance). St Michael's Mount is a must in Marazion (you have to arrive at Marazion early for that). Also a day or two in Fowey after the end of the tour - we went to Lanhydrock House and Gardens from there and Fowey itself is a charming little town with an amazing history.”

“Accurately rated as a 'Moderate' walk with an average of 22/23 kms per day, we found this trip was within our capabilities. The varied coastal scenery, cute villages and water crossings made for a very pleasant trek. We had no trouble finding places to buy lunch and had some great evening meals as well. This was our first experience of a self-guided walk and everything pretty much went according to plan.”

“I LOVED THIS HIKE! I was consistently challenged, awed, inspired, impressed, and smitten with every meter of this TREK! I would challenge it all again.....with a different regimen of preparation. The accommodations were wonderful and perfectly arranged. Our hosts and hostesses were consistently accommodating and fun and knowledgeable of things both near and far. The breakfasts hearty and made to order. The luggage transfer without a hitch. The route notes a nice complement to the "Trailblazer Guide".”
