  • See spectacular views over the Gaitanes gorge
  • Walk three-kilometers along the narrow historic pathway
  • Visit Conde de Guadalhorce Dam, the main water reserve in Malaga
If you are looking for an amazing experience and spectacular views, come with us to walk the breathtaking path of El Caminito del Rey. We run this tour every Friday starting from our usual meeting points in Costa del Sol, and taking the route towards Ojen-Monda-Ardales.

Once we have arrived at the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam, the main water reserve in the province of Malaga, our guide will explain all about the history of the Natural Area of Desfiladero de los Gaitanes. The Gorge Desfiladero de los Gaitanes is a canyon, carved through the centre of the province by the River Guadalhorce. The northern access to the gorge is via the Guadalhorce reservoirs and the southern access is via a small village, El Chorro. A water channel runs between the reservoirs in El Chorro and beside it lies a small maintenance path. The three-kilometer-long path is known as El Caminito del Rey (The King’s Little Pathway), and hangs 100 meters high above the Guadalhorce River. It has been recently restored, and winds along vertical walls and over a footbridge spanning the gorge.

Once we finished the breathtaking Caminito del Rey, our bus will take us to Álora, a little village on the surrounding of El Caminito del Rey. A local products tasting will take place in a local restaurant, with products like, almonds, oil, bread, wine and olives.
