London lights up like a Christmas tree at night. It’s a beautiful city to cycle around in the evenings, often with less traffic. Visually it’s different, as all the buildings and monuments are lit up against the backdrop of the dark sky.
We begin at Gabriel’s Wharf on the Southbank, with safely lit up bicycles, and head East to the fabulous Tower Bridge, and St Katherine’s dock, Through the lit up City of London to St Paul’s Cathedral, Millennium Bridge, the Tate Modern Art Gallery.
We then stop at the Founders Arms pub, right on the river, for a drinks break, with an amazing view of the City reflecting against the stillness of the Thames.
Along the River we continue to to the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament. Crossing the river right past ‘Big Ben’ we see the Houses of Parliament all lit up, and then the imposing towers of Westminster Abbey (Royal Wedding venue). After this we head towards Horse Guard’s parade and see the Government buildings, Followed by Admiralty Arch, Trafalgar Square, and getting amongst the evening hype of Covent Garden.
If there’s enough time we might even take a spin through Chinatown and Soho, and some of London’s vibe’iest restaurants and night spots. We then cycle back over Waterloo bridge and drop off our bikes right opposite the Studio 6 pub (in case you’re a bit thirsty!)
This tour is a little different to our other daytime tours, as it covers more distance in the same amount of time. There’s less talking, and more riding. We can also tailor this night tour to your group's needs, if you'd like to make a private booking.
