“This was our first "adventure" holiday, so we can't compare it to anything else. We enjoyed it very much. The scenery was spectacular. The combination of cycling and hiking was perfect for us. The local contact person was very helpful and her English was good. She went through the entire itinerary with us and gave useful suggestions/ alternatives. For example, the unprecedented snowfall meant that we couldn't do the normal hike on the last day, so we took a cable car to have lunch overlooking the snow and visited an ice cave instead. It was a nice touch that a discount card was included for local tourist attractions. The maps and notes supplied were very good. In particular, the hiking notes included photos showing where to make turns. We also found the preloaded route maps on our phones very useful, especially when we did take wrong turns. This was our first time riding e-bikes and we appreciated the local bike maintenance bloke coming out to us on Day 1 to ensure we were happy with the use of these.”

“What a wonderful experience! This Hike and Bike adventure in Austria proved to be the highlight of our time in Europe. With beautiful scenery, excellent bikes and comfy hotels at the end of each day, this was a wonderful way to see and experience a beautiful part of the country. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather which added to our enjoyment of the glorious vistas that greeted us each day. It was very well organised, with a detailed briefing and comprehensive maps to make this self-guided holiday one to remember. We would highly recommend both UTracks and this particular trip for anyone who likes a little adventure in their travels.”

“My wife and I did this trip and it was excellent. The scenery spectacular, the accommodations comfortable, the cycling exhilarating, the hiking breath taking and the people you meet friendly and helpful but most importantly the strudel is delicious and the schnapps potent. A great mix of hiking and cycling with adequate time for exploring.”
