8.00 – 8.30 The tour group gathers near the Kyiv railway station at S. Petliura street 28 (Old Comintern) in the parking lot near the service center ″Stolichniy″. We go through the registration process and have our documents checked.
8.30 – 10.00 We leave Kyiv for the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The guide will tell you the rules of safety in the radiation zone. You can also watch specially prepared video material about the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.
10.00 – 10.30 After our arrival at the checkpoint ″Dityatki″ we go through passport control. We will then listen to information from the local guide who will accompany us during the entire tour. We then drive into the Exclusion Zone.
10.30 - 12.30 In Chernobyl we will visit a museum, Elias church, park of glory, a river port, a memorial to ″Those who saved the world″ and many other interesting places.
12.30 – 13.30 We move toward the tragedy′s epicenter. You can see abandoned villages and a memorial ″To the heroes of Chernobyl″. We then cross a channel where you can feed the giant catfish. Photo and video shooting is permitted.
13.30 – 14.00 We will visit reactor number 4 where you can see the construction of a new confinement and get to know some aspects of complex engineering solutions to make the area ecologically safe. You can even talk to the plant employees.
14.00 – 14.30 Then we move to the abandoned village Zalessie. Until 1986 this village was one of the most populated in the zone with a population of more than two thousand people. Empty houses, schools, shops are still waiting for people.
15.00 – 15.30 Next stop is the village of Kopachi which is 4 km from Chernobyl. This village was developing rapidly in 1986 but after the Chernobyl accident it was damaged by radiation and buried under the ground. Monument dedicated to soldiers of WWII, a kindergarten school and a machine-tractor station are still open for tourists.
15.30 – 17.00 The ″Black Pearl″ of the Chernobyl exclusion zone is the city of Pripyat. You will have the opportunity to walk in this empty city.
17.00 – 18.00 We move on to see an exhibition of equipment that was used in liquidation of the Chernobyl accident.
19.00 We then head to our hotel. The radiation level here is the same as in Kyiv.
9.00 – 20.00 You have absolute freedom of choice. The group decides where to go and what to do. You can spend this day as you wish.
At 20.00 the tour ends when we return you back to Kyiv.
