“Our group of 5 went on the Northern Circuit Hike with this local tour operator over Christmas 2021, from 30th December to 7th January. By spending 9 days on the mountain, we had 7 full days hiking pole-pole, which means slowly and steady in Swahili, before we did the night hike all the way to the top. The longest you spend on the mountain, the highest chance of acclimatisation you have and less risk of having altitude sickness. The hike was great,. The summit of Kilimanjaro, from Gilman's Point to Stella Point to Uhuru Peak is absolutely incredible. I actually would recommend to get to Gilman's Point for sunrise so that you walk in the morning light from there to Uhuru Peak to really appreciate the incredibly magical snowy surroundings you can see at the top. Do not give up, stay pole pole, and keep walking, one step at a time. It is worth it. To train, there is no secret, the best training is hiking a lot, and also going up and down stairs, build your legs to become strong, go running to develop your cardio and do some swimming and cycling to develop all muscles. And you will be fine. And if you don't make it? Well, it doesn't matter. The journey is as important as the destination! Just going on that hike will have been worth it.”

“This is absolutely the best company with which to summit Kilimanjaro. My wife and I just went in July. We contacted several companies before choosing this one to plan our trip, and we were glad we did. Noel was very, very helpful to communicate with by e-mail and phone. He listened closely to what we wanted, helped us make decisions based on his close knowledge of Tanzania, and responded patiently and promptly to my endless lists of questions...even helped me learn a few words of Swahili. The hiking was beautiful, challenging but not overwhelming. Everyone in our group was able to summit because of the guiding, leadership and support of all the team. The guides, assistant guides, chef, and porters are excellent. Very professional and helpful. We choose this operator because of its reputation for safety and success. The only way to see the real Tanzania is with this company. Their first priority is that you have the trip of your lifetime. They have a wonderful staff of friendly and helpful locals. The food is amazing. The guides are simply the best of the best. Regan and John are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly for Mount Kilimanjaro. We think the company offers some unique insights/experiences into the country because it is owned by Tanzanians. Although I don't know when my schedule will permit it, I am already looking forward to my next trip.”
