Turkish winter walking ( shorts and sunscreen required!) Reviewed Tour: Turkish Winter Wilderness
4 - Very Good
“3 days of walking and sight-seeing in Capadocia, followed by 3 days in rural mountain village. Lots of interesting things to see in Capadocia, and we made the most of the unseasonable warm weather (18 deg C, which meant there was NO snow!). and then 3 very different days of walking ( one alpine plateau, one canyon walk, and one forest/valley walk) in the Taurus mountains in a very cosy mountain hostel where we were the only guests!”
Enjoyable and relaxing winter walking Reviewed Tour: Turkish Winter Wilderness
3 - Average
“This was an enjoyable and relaxing trip of gentle winter walking. We didn't do any shoe shoeing as there wasn't enough snow, despite it being very cold, but did some enjoyable walking. The culture and history was interesting and the food brilliant, and there was plenty of bird life in the mountains which those in the group who enjoyed bird watching very much enjoyed.”
Snowshoeing in Turkey Reviewed Tour: Turkish Winter Wilderness
5 - Excellent
“Turkey is a country of beautiful scenery and fascinating culture and this trip combines both in a full programme of walks and snow shoeing in two contrasting areas.”
