Everest Panorama Trek

From US$ 1,075 per person
  • No booking or credit card fees
  • E-ticket/Mobile voucher
The Everest panorama Trek, although relatively easy compared to other treks, takes you up to Tengboche Monastery at 3850m, high-up on the Everest trail. This is a short trek but very scenic and offers really superb views of the world’s highest peaks, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Thamserku, Mt Ama Dablam and many other mountain peaks.

We fly from Kathmandu to Lukla airport in the Everest region and trek up to Phakding on day 1, where we will spend the first night. The following days we will be trekking to Namche Bazar (the capital of the Everest region), Tyangboche (famous for its monastery) and into the Khumjung village, a very nice settlement of the Sherpa people.

Aside from getting a perfect trekking trail and breath-taking scenery you will get a chance to sip tea and talk with the local Sherpa people, famous for their mountaineering skills.

If you only have 9 days available for trekking in Nepal, this is the perfect choice. It's not a hard trek so if you are reasonably fit and can walk 5-6 hours a day, you can do this trek. If in doubt, we recommend that you bring a porter (1 porter can carry up to 30 kgs and can be shared between 2 people - you can add a porter when checking out).

There you will be met by our Airport Representative and transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle. Overnight at hotel on BB plan.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Lukla by flight and trek to Phakding (2610m/7903ft) - Flight to Lukla 30 minutes and walking 5:30 hours
Fly to Lukla, the trail descends, gradually passing above the large village of Chaunrikharaka (2680m) and on through small villages, fields and forests following a wide well constructed path. From here the trail crosses to the eastern bank of the Dudh Kosi, and climbs gently to the village of Chumoa. Between here and the next village of Monjo (2800m) the trail drops steeply to cross Monjo Khola. From Monjo the trail crosses a small rock saddle and then descends abruptly to re-cross the Dudh Kosi at Jorsale (2804m). Beyond Jorsale the trail undulates up until the confluence with Bhote Kosi is reached. From here the Khumbu region begins. Above the bridge the trail zigzags up 300m of the steep spur between the two rivers through sparse forest. From the top of the spur, Mt. Everest can be seen rising above Nuptse-Lhotse wall. The next section of the trail climbs less steeply, traversing above the Bhote Kosi until Namche Bazaar is reached. Namcha Bazaar is a market town, where every Saturday morning traders from lower altitude sell goods to sherpas. Most of the trading is over by mid-day and the traders return to their villages.
