The "Annapurna Chitwan In Comfort" tour starts and ends in Kathmandu. It is a trekking tour that takes 11 days taking you through Ghandruk, Ghorepani, Ulleri and 7 other destinations in Nepal. "Annapurna Chitwan In Comfort" is a guided small group tour that includes accommodation, transport, meals and others.

Combine our introductory Annapurna Trek and Chitwan Safari. We combine our Annapurna Trek with a wildlife safari at Chitwan National Park. This adventure is a fine contrast between trekking the remote foothills of the Annapurna's and a safari in the vicinity of Chitwan. We trek through traditional Hindu villages and pristine forests to ridge top camps that afford remarkable views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare. At Chitwan we undertake a wildlife safari in search of rhino and the Bengal tiger. (Our wildlife safaris take place inside the park boundaries.)

“Just returned from a once in a lifetime trip Annapurna/Chitwan with World Expeditions and it was fantastic! The 6 day trek was not easy for me as a 55 year old but I made it ok (my hubby of the same age thought it was pretty easy). The views were incredible at every turn. Our guide Bijay was wonderful as were all the support staff. Food was delicious and plentiful, accommodation great. If you have been thinking about it - just do it!”

“This is an amazing trek that combines some moderate trekking with the safari. Each day is different and my favourite part of the day was watching the incredible sunsets and sunrises. They were simply stunning. The porters and kitchen staff are amazing and do a great job of looking after us.”

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Find answers to the most frequently asked questions about this tour.
  • How much money do I need to bring with me?

Your personal budget obviously depends on your spending habits and what is included in your trip cost. If accommodation is included, but meals are not, we would suggest that you bring around 30 USD per day per person for meals. Having a hot shower or charging your device sometimes costs extra. There are also sometimes small crafts/souvenirs to buy along the trekking route which you may want to bring extra money for. Also, consider whether you would be staying in Kathmandu or Pokhara before or after your trek.

  • Is quarantine in Nepal in effect for arriving visitors?

In response to the current Covid situation, rules for arriving visitors may change frequently and sometimes without notice. Please check the government travel pages and advisories of your home country and the official website of the Nepal Tourism board here.

  • What happens if someone gets altitude sickness, does the rest of the group continue on?

It depends on the situation. Sometimes, altitude sickness can be treated and the trekker may wish to continue. If not, the rest of the group can continue on if they want and the sick person can descend.

  • How does it work with a porter?

Generally, the porter will pick up the baggage in the morning and drop it at the hotel in the evening. You will not always be walking with your porter or have access to your bag during the day, while trekking.

  • Is a visa on arrival available?

Typically, yes. However, in response to the current Covid situation, rules for arriving visitors may change frequently and sometimes without notice. It may be necessary to obtain a tourist visa in your own country before travel. For updated information on visas, please check the Nepal Tourism Board and the Government of Nepal Immigration websites.
