The Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the most popular trekking destinations in Nepal. Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) is surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks.

Trekking starts from Pokhara with a short drive to Nayapul. We ascend well-trodden trails through terraced farmland and traditional villages. As we climb through ancient oak and rhododendron forest, across sparkling streams and past waterfalls, the World of snow and ice starts to unfold before us. This combination of pretty villages and terraced fields of millet and rice, coupled with the majestic splendor of Machhapuchhre (6,993m), Annapurna I and Hiunchuli (6,441m) make this an extremely rewarding trek.

Climbing up the Modi Khola valley towards the sanctuary we are teased with views of towering peaks and dazzling high rock walls with waterfalls tumbling down into the roar of the river below. As the gorge widens, we ascend to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m) on the lateral moraine of Annapurna South glacier.

The steady climb up to ABC reveals the full splendor of this natural amphitheater. When we reach our destination, we are spoiled with 360 degree view of Himalayan peaks. We walk out along a different route to our approach and enjoy the views of Annapurna-I from a different angle. A short diversion up to Poonhill (3,210m) before leaving the Annapurna Conservation Area offers us a chance to obtain great views of another Himalayan giant - Dhaulagiri (8,167m). The sunrise views from here are legendary.

Trip of a life time! 100% recommend
Charlotte Burgess From Netherlands At

“I completed the Annapurna base camp trek with Nepal Eco adventure and had the best time of my life. I would do it all over again the exact same way. Chhatra was incredibly helpful from the first email till I went to the airport, everything was run so smoothly and my plans changed a bit when I got there but Chhatra organized everything so smoothly. The trek was an incredible adventure, our guide Arun Karki was amazing and his knowledge of the mountains, English and service levels were amazing. Every need was catered for and each day ran smoothly and was well organized in advance. Our oxygen levels and heart rate were tested each night and he was constantly keeping an eye on us to make sure we were ok. We had many laughs during the trip, at the end you will definitely feel like a little family!

The food was a lot better than I imagined and the variety and amount was great. The accommodation was also a lot better than I imagined with showers and wifi etc. we could tell Arun didn't take us to the common popular places but secret nice ones just a 5 minute extra walk usually and well worth it as the standard was great!

Nepal eco adventure supplied me with a great jacket and they also have walking poles and sleeping bags on offer and some t shirts and hats. My shoes broke quite early and the guide let me use his while he walked in his sneakers for it. We really were well looked after.

I cannot recommend Nepal Eco Adventure more, everything was perfect and they made my holiday outstanding and so relaxing. I will definitely be back to do more hiiing and I sure will be going with you! All the best in the future and thank you for making my nepal experience such a good one !”
