  • Trek to Kala Patthar peak (5,643m) for stunning views
  • Enjoy a full-board trekking experience with all meals included during the trek
  • Inspiring views of Mount Everest & Khumbu Icefall
Everest Base Camp Trek gives you an opportunity to visit unique high-altitude destinations that only a handful of the world’s population ever gets to experience. Following the footsteps of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, trek along the foothills of Himalayan mountains including the world’s highest, Mount Everest. En route, experience Sherpa hospitality and culture, Buddhist spiritualism and amazing mountain scenery. Stand beneath the massive mountain shadows and feel humbled.

The trek begins from Lukla, a Sherpa settlement known as the ‘Gateway to Everest’. Following your experienced guide, trek through the valley of Dudh Koshi to Namche Bazar. Namche, a bustling trading hub filled with upscale mountain lodges, bakeries, shops and internet cafes, resembles an amphitheater carved on the sides of the mountains. Spend a day here acclimatizing before heading to Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorak Shep, and finally to Everest Base Camp.

A good hike to Kala Patthar and Nangkhartshang Peak will test your endurance level but reward you with close-up views of Mount Everest, Mount Pumori, Thamserku, Imja Tse/Island Peak and several other majestic mountains. The highlight of the trek is of course to visit Everest Base Camp, surrounded by tumbling glaciers and giant walls of snow and ice. EBC is the first campsite for climbers trying to scale Mount Everest.

Stellar Adventure!

“This was truly the adventure of a lifetime. Traveling with Ace was a fantastic experience! Booked the 14 day Annapurna Base Camp trek and spent in good hands with guide Resham and porters, Dhan and Gunjan. Resham was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and attentive. He and our porters made sure we were well taken care of and comfortable at all times. The days were challenging, but balanced and rewarding. Each day had something unique and beautiful to offer without being overwhelming or exhausting. Trekking through the small villages, forests, and mountains with our small group was ideal. Highly recommended it to anyone interested in Nepal and the Himalayas.”

Nepal Mega Trip (42 Days)

“Dear ACE THE Himalaya Team

I would like to thank everyone for the unforgettable 42 days with you in Nepal. From the individual planning to the last day of the trip everything worked perfectly.

There are many tour operators in Kathmandu. The competition is very big but there are differences in service and professionalism.

I have chosen ACE because of its professional appearance, sustainability and the cooperation with the mountain people in the Gorkha Valley who have been badly affected by earthquakes. About 80% of the employees come from this region. Many of them lost their homes or relatives in 2015 and many were destroyed by the earthquake.
Prem K Khatry the Managing Director is doing an incredible job. He has built up many jobs at ACE as well as SAMBHAV NEPAL. The organisation collects money for the reconstruction of schools, infrastructure, water systems, houses etc. in the Gorkha area. Most of the guides come from there and can feed their families thanks to the work at ACE.

Before my trip I also participated in the Greiffeseelauf 2018 (half marathon) as a sponsor runner for SAMBHAV NEPAL (Switzerland). Thanks to my private sponsors I was able to transfer about 800 USD to SAMBHAV.
Also the occasion was the ideal preparation for my time in the Himalayas.

On the first day after my arrival I took part in an unforgettable city tour with ACE. This gave me a first insight into the life and culture of Nepal.
A few days later I started the 14 days EVEREST BASE CAMP (EBC) Trek with a small group (3 guests, 1 guide & 2 porter). Our guide RESHAM RANA took good care of us the whole time and knows every single mountain with name and height. The guesthouses where we spent the night were among the best in the region. The highlight of the trek was the sunrise in Kalaphatar (5643m) with view on the roof of the world and the Khumbu glacier.

After the EBC Trek I was driven for some days in the REBUILD HOME PROGRAM to Aruphokari (Gorkha valley) where I stayed overnight in the tent with a family.
The family took good care of me and I was able to experience the Dashain Hindu Festival and my birthday close up with the local families. Many thanks (dhanyebad) to SUJAN KHATRY and his family for the cordiality.
Besides, I worked with the construction workers to build new houses in the region. The REBUILD HOME PROGRAM was a social service that I can recommend to everyone. It gives you an insight into the daily life in the village.
In addition, one gives something back to the hearty locals and does good for the wonderful country and the people.

After the social service I was picked up and taken directly to the start of the 18 days MANASLU CIRCUIT TREK. My guide RAM PRESAD LAMICHHANE took care of us during the whole tour and has become a good friend. Our group consisted of 4 guests, 1 guide and 2 porter. The guesthouses were always very well selected and we always had the best service from ACE from start to finish. The highlight of the MANASLU CIRCUIT TREK was the crossing of the Larkya Pass (5141m). The trek was unforgettable and the nature fantastic.

After the whole program I had some days of rest in Pokhara and Begnas Lake. Ace put together a great program and organized the accommodations for me.

After the tours we had a farewell dinner with the guides in a typical Nepalese restaurant.

The 6 weeks in Nepal remain with me in best memory. I hope that I can come back as soon as possible.

Many thanks to all involved for the unforgettable time. I wish you, your families and Nepal much success for the future.

Namaste & Dhanyebad

Reto”

“This trek cannot be explained, it is like nothing I have ever experienced before. The whole hike looks like you photoshopped Mother Nature. Visiting a monastery at 4000 m is quite mistical, the Everest memorials are surreal and base camp is among the best accomplishment anyone can have. the actual hike is quite challenging up hill all the time and add in altitude sickness but it’s with it bud the picture is the view from are tea house in the morning”

We begin the trek by descending towards Dudh Koshi River where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2,713 m). The walking is easy. After passing through the small village of Ghat (2,550 m), there is a short walk to Phakding, where we stay for the night.

We will trek a short distance to a museum that is celebrated for its exhibits of the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. We will also hike up the Syangboche Airport and the Everest View Hotel, one of the highest-placed hotels in the world. The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of the mountains. We’ll have trekked to an altitude of 3,860 m upon reaching Tengboche. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or in the morning depending on how the trekking goes this day.

From Tengboche, the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of mani stones. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. We take our time, so we avoid getting affected by the altitude.

This day is planned as acclimatization day. We don’t make progress towards Everest Base Camp. Instead, we will take a hike to Nangkartshang peak just above Dingboche. The peak is an excellent view point. Especially of the gorgeous Ama Dablam. If weather is clear, we will get to see Ama Dablam from its summit to its feet. You can spend the afternoon strolling around the village or resting.

Today, the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits. We continue to climb as we are heading to the village of Lobuche which is located at the foot of giant Lobuche peak. Some breathing problems may arise today due to the altitude.

This is a big and difficult day walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5,365 m, the closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment. During spring, there will likely be expedition teams about to attempt the summit. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. We return back to Gorak Shep for the night.

This will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of the trek. Most of the morning is spent climbing Mt. Kala Patthar, a small peak at 5,555 m. The ascent is demanding but the climber gets the most magnificent mountain panorama: Everest, the highest point on the planet at 8,848 m, towers directly ahead and on all sides loom the giants such as Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others. We make a quick descent to Gorak Shep and have hot breakfast, and then trek down to Pheriche.
