“This was an amazing tour to a fascinating region of China, which satisfied my interest in the history of the Silk Road. It was a non-stop tour involving many different modes of transport to cover the large distances but it was all very well organised by our young guide Tar. The regions and towns we visited differed both geographically and also in terms of ethnic diversity. I particularly enjoyed Xian, the wonderful history museums, the Mingsha dunes, the Mogao Caves filled with Buddhist art, the ruins of ancient Jiaohe and our final stop, Kashgar. The hotels exceeded my expectations: rooms were generally large and comfortable, with aircon and free wi-fi. In all, a memorable and very enjoyable tour!”
