Starting and ending in Istanbul, the "Turkey Encounters" tour is a guided city sightseeing tour that takes 17 days. You will travel through Troy, Köyceğiz, Aphrodisias and 15 other destinations in Turkey. "Turkey Encounters" is a group tour which includes accommodation in hotels, transport, meals and others.

Experience Turkey's vibrant culture & ancient civilisations on our 17-day Turkey Encounters tour, which will give you comprehensive insight into this Middle-Eastern gem.
The Turkey tour starts and finishes in Istanbul, where you’ll learn about about modern history at the war memorials and ANZAC cemeteries at Gallipoli before developing deeper into the past with tours of some of the region's most important historic sites at Troy, Ephesus, Hieropolis and Aspendos.
Travellers can also expect plenty of stops to relax and enjoy the seaside at the coastal towns of Kusadasi, Fethiye and Antalya, as well as an included 12-island boat cruise in the Gulf of Fethiye before spending time exploring the amazing scenery at Cappadocia. The tour also visits south eastern Turkey including sunset at the top of Mt. Ararat, beautiful Lake Van. We then finish with a drive or flight back to Istanbul.
Accommodation is in a mix of locally rated 4 and 5 star hotels, plus some more boutique style properties.

CANCELLATION

No additional cancellation fees apply for this Turkey Encounters tour. You can cancel the tour up to 58 days prior departure and avoid paying the full amount, but your deposit paid is non-refundable. No refund applies for cancellations within 57 days of departure.

Payment

For any tour departures within 15 June 2024, full payment is required. For tours that depart later than 15 June 2024, a deposit of 250 USD is required to confirm the tour, and the remaining balance will be charged 57 days before trip departure.

Travel Insurance

Turkey Encounters tour requires that you have adequate and valid travel insurance covering medical and personal accidents, including repatriation costs and emergency evacuation. World Nomads offers travel insurance for independent travelers and intrepid families.

Visa

For this Turkey Encounters tour getting the required visa(s) is the responsibility for each individual traveller, as visa requirements vary depending on your nationality. We recommend to check with your local embassies representing the countries that you are traveling to, as part of this itinerary.
