“This tour (8th May 2016) was excellent in every respect. Our guide (Cücü) was friendly, relaxed and welcoming. We experienced a tremendous variety of food and drink, all in an area of Istanbul we were not familiar with, and all the while learning about that area, the people who live there, the types of shops and food places, the buildings, the history and so on. A truly enjoyable and fascinating tour - and we couldn't eat any more by the end of the evening! We have already recommended this tour to others.”

“Beatrice was brilliant, as was the company's willingness to arrange our tour at very short notice. There could have been more transparency about the exchange rate to be used (this wasn't Beatrice's fault) - we had calculated a different amount of lira needed and this made for an awkward end to the tour.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed the tour! We had a nice small group of 5 people, which was a good size. I enjoyed walking around the Taksim area side streets, and visiting places I would've otherwise missed. Our guide was good and our tour even went longer then it was meant to, as no-one was in a rush to finish. However, I don't think it was value for money. It is extremely expensive considering what was included.......although it was the first time I've done a tour like this, so I have nothing to compare it to.”

“Our urban adventures trip through the back streets and alleyways of Istanbul showed us more of what this magical city had to offer than our day long large group bus tour. Our fantastic guide asked if we were on a tight schedule and as we were not, the 3 hours turned into a leisurely 4 hours. We got to sample a variety of local traditional foods and drinks while taking in the history of the area. It was a privilege to be taken by a young local person to visit areas less frequented by foreign tourists.”
Good to know Dress standard: While Istanbul is quite liberal, please be aware that the standard of dress throughout much of Turkey is often conservative. To respect this and for your own comfort, we recommend modest clothing. This means clothing that covers your shoulders and knees for both women and men.

Child Policy: Children under 12 years of age are not permitted to join this tour.
