“We saw so much in the two weeks, it felt like a much longer holiday. It was full
-on from the day we got there, with an optional street food tour and supper - a great introduction to the madness that is Delhi. The fun never stopped, so much to see and do. The memories of this trip are wonderful: the frenetic energy of Indian cities, the fabulous architecture of the Mughals, the amazing Hindu temples, the Buddhist stupas, the food (yes, curry for breakfast if you want), the relaxing calm of Chitwan National Park, the dramatic landscape of Nepal, the sunrise on the Annapurna mountains, the overnight train, the Ganges, the fireworks and Diwali lights....”

“This was a very well designed itinerary - leisurely it was as described in the brochure. The 7 hills walk was perhaps rather more arduous than described and I was glad I had decided to heed the advice of the local guide, having had a recent knee replacement. Germanus Hotel in Madurai was a bit pretentious on the surface and grubby underneath. Hotels in Kochi and Madurai were a long way from the centre of the towns and it was a great pity not to be able to have longer in Kochi. Boat trip slightly disappointing as it was to be a highlight for me. Drives through Western Ghat mountains and tea plantations were fantastic.”

“This was a fast paced trip but we knew that when we booked and it enabled us to see so much of India in a short time . I can't quite believe what we managed to cover! We started at Jaiper were we came across a bridegroom on an elephant and sadly had to turn down an invitation to join in the wedding! From there we moved to Ranthambore National Park were we saw not only a tiger but a leopard ! I don't think many people are lucky enough to see both .We saw the iconic Taj , travelled on overnight sleeper trains (The station at Agra was an experience, we seemed to give the locals something to watch!) There are long distances between the cities but travelling in the minibus was actually wonderful with always something to see. The colours of the saris will be my lasting memory of the trip. Our group size was 12 and they were a totally delightful group of people who all got on really well.”
