Known for its stunning natural landscapes, Iceland boasts a plethora of magnificent waterfalls that attract travelers from around the world. Embark on an unforgettable adventure by taking waterfall tours in Iceland. Visit Gullfoss (Golden Falls) during the summer months to witness the powerful flow of water or Brúarfoss (Bridge Waterfall) in winter to experience the snow-covered beauty under the Northern Lights. The best part about chasing waterfalls in Iceland is that most of the popular ones can be accessed from Ring Road or Route 1, which encircles the island; others can be accessed during any Iceland hiking trip. The iconic Goðafoss (Waterfall of Gods) and the lesser-known gems like Hjálparfoss (Help Falls) shouldn’t be missed.

“My son and I did the Northern Lights Tour. This was a rare chance to spend some time together (hes a busy father and Im a retired 71 year old). We wanted something a little different that we could both enjoy and Midgard offered a tour that seemed to suit, couple with more than a hint of adventure. We were not disappointed. Midgard is a family run business and clearly values the personal touch. Our four days were varied, interesting and fun. The sightseeing was ably organised by our driver and guide, Bjarni, who kept us both informed and entertained (he is a classically trained singer, as well!). His border collie, Krea, added to the enjoyment. The highlights for me were the glacier climb and ice field walk and seeing the northern lights (this was facilitated by one of the owners getting out of bed and driving us to the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night to maximise the view). Basecamp is funky, functional and the food is excellent. I cant recommend them more.”

“Our wonderful guide, Erikur, made this tour interesting and unforgettable! His local knowledge of the area, including the history, the geology, and more, was both informative and entertaining. He did his best to accommodate all of our needs, and was clearly proud of his heritage. The accommodations were basic but comfortable, and both included a good breakfast.”

“I’ve been in Iceland for 4 days; 3 of them I booked 3 tours with this local travel expert. The best tours i’ve ever done in my life. I’ve done Glacier lagoon and diamond beach with Chiara; golden circle and blue lagoon with Omar and Fragadalsfjal erupting vulcano afternoon and evening with Omar.
