This cycling tour focuses on a variety of what Ho Chi Minh City has to offer including the best sights and interesting local areas. From beautiful French architecture to local alleyways where Vietnamese families work, live, and play. We will spend time cruising through local and hidden parts of Ho Chi Minh City. This will give you the chance to see the unseen! A walk through a local wet market where families come every day to shop is an eye-opening and exciting experience. This full-day cycling tour starts at 8 am and finishes at 4:30 pm.
The tour begins when we meet our local guide before we hop on our bikes and head to Ho Chi Minh city's bustling Chinatown area. Along the way, we will stop off at the Thien Hau temple, which was built in the early 19th century and is dedicated to Thien Hau, the goddess of seafarers. We will then delve deeper into Chinatown visiting the amazing Cholon and Binh Tay Market for an insight into where the locals shop. Stop at a local café for a coffee to watch the hectic pace of life pass by in Ho Chi Minh City.
Following our market visit, we will have a traditional local Vietnamese lunch, featuring "Pho" or another well-known Vietnamese cuisine.
After lunch, we will take a ride to visit more of the city's most important landmarks, including the War Remnants Museum, which displays old military equipment and other related items from the Vietnam War, and the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace and the site of South Vietnam's surrender in April 1975.
We will then visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the General Post office, and the Opera house, all beautiful examples of architecture from the French colonial period. Finally, explore downtown Saigon, and get a local's point of view on this thriving and pulsating city.
