Ha Long Bay is located in the northeast corner of Viet Nam, 165 km from Ha Noi. In the Province of Quang Ninh. Ha Long Bay covers an area of 1,553 km2 with 1,969 islands, of which 90% are limestone islands. To the west and north west, Ha Long Bay stretches from Yen Hung district in Ha Long city to Cam Pha town in Van Don district; to the south-east and in the south, Ha Long Bay borders the western shore of Tonkin Gulf; to the southwest the Bay borders Cat Ba island (Hai Phong province).
Ha Long Bay’s center area was regognized as a world heritage area by UNESCO and covers an area of 434 sq. Km, including 775 islands, of which 411 are named. It is bound by Dau Go island( in the west), Dau Be island (in the south) and Cong Tay island(in the east).

Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay ( L,D)
Following a pick-up from your hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi between 07:45 and 08:00, transfer through the Red River Delta to Tuan Chau Marina in Ha Long City. Upon arrival at approximately 12:00, enjoy a complimentary drink in a private lounge. Then, transfer by tender to your boat. A welcome drink will be waiting before your cruise briefing.
A set lunch will be served at 13:00, as you cruise to the floating fishing village of Vung Vieng, perhaps the most beautiful of all the fishing villages of Ha Long Bay. Transfer by rowing boat, and sail among the floating houses, school and information center of the village. Interact with the locals as you take in the magnificent scenery. Luxury kayaks are available for those that prefer to explore the village by themselves. Return to your boat at 16:15 and cruise to Drum Cave. Here, there will be time to swim (weather permitting) or relax on the sun deck, with fantastic views of the bay.
In the evening, watch a cooking demonstration on the sundeck, and learn how to make a fresh spring roll and fish sauce. Gaze at a canopy of stars as night settles on Ha long Bay. A delicious barbecue dinner will be served, along with a variety of Vietnamese and Western foods.
Evening activities include movies in the outdoor bar, board and card games, and - for the more adventurous - squid fishing with the crew, climaxing with fresh squid cooked with the help of the chef. Anchor in the peace and quiet of Drum Cave for your overnight stay.
Day 2: Halong Bay - Hanoi ( B,L)
Rise early for an (optional) Tai Chi class on the sundeck. Then, enjoy a breakfast of coffee, tea and baked goods. Cruise to Amazing Cave (Hang Sung Sot), discovered by the French in 1901 and opened to tourists in 1936. Marvel at the stalactite and stalagmite formations of the grotto, before returning to the boat to check out and relax on the sundeck or dining room as you cruise back to Tuan Chau Pier. A light buffet brunch will be served before you disembark at 11:30, with time to freshen up in the private lounge before your land transfer to Hanoi.
