“Towards the end of our trip the political situation in Assam became volatile with demonstrations, strikes and roadblocks. The Explore team, local agents and our tour leaders responded promptly and professionally. At no time did we ever feel concerned although we were well aware that everyone was working very hard to ensure our safety. Sanjeev Gorung our tour leader and Deep our local guide were superb. We were extracted from Assam and given a short programme of visits to cover an extra three days in Kolkata. Although we were disappointed to miss some of the trip nothing could have been done better in the circumstances.”
