“The organizers of our trip must’ve known Spain very well because they chose very interesting cities to visit and also knew the best tours to take in each city. The itinerary was very well organized and properly balanced. And it was a pleasant surprise to be able to stay in each of the carefully chosen hotels in the various cities on the tour. Those hotels had excellent accommodations as well as European buffet breakfasts and usually also a nice restaurant and lounge to relax in in the evenings. At first I was concerned about how well we would be able to use the Spanish railroad system to go from city to city. But it was actually quite easy And I forgot how relaxing taking the train can be. It is much quieter than an airplane and it was always enjoyable to look at at the Spanish countryside rather than white knuckling ones way driving along unfamiliar roads. Basically it was very simple to order a taxi cab to get to the train station . Most of all in each of these wonderful cities we had a carefully chosen tour by a local tour agency that had been pre-scheduled as part of the overall travel package. All of the people we met were very nice and we made some good acquaintances along the way. I believe this is probably an excellent way to discover other countries and even to revisit them if one is not been back to Europe for a while.”

“Granada and the Alpujarras was a brilliant experience and a wonderful introduction to the Sierra Nevada region and the Moorish history of Spain. The scenery was spectacular from the white-washed villages to the incredible wildflowers, the many rivers and irrigation channels and the snow-covered mountains. The walks were varied and allowed for easier options if desired or longer, more challenging hikes. We highly recommend the trek to the Siete Lagunas from Trevelez. The accommodation was excellent throughout, luggage transfers were prompt and efficient, the meals provided were great and the staff always friendly and helpful. The route notes and maps and additional information compiled by S-cape Travel in Spain were comprehensive and easy to follow. We especially appreciated the deviations from main routes onto local paths which meant we met hardly any other walkers on any of the days.”
