“Really enjoyable holiday. Surprised at how good the hiking on La Gomera was, with great scenery, plus the added bonus of being very quiet having the hiking paths almost to ourselves. We were suprised that Gomera is not better known for its hiking.”

“I'd been to the island before and stayed in Valle Gran Rey and used buses to get out and about. With this trip I moved around the island more and saw some areas that I'd not been to which might have been tricker to see on my own on public transport. The knowledge that Sherpa had of the island helped with John having lived there for 20+ years. The accommdoation provided was excellent and the notes were pretty much spot on. All the pickups worked perfectly as well and my luggage went were it was supposed to, so no problems there either. I did a fair bit of extra walking on the two "free" days around Playa de Santiago and in the afternoons on a couple of days when I finished with a bit of time to spare. I love the island and I'll be back!”

We liked the variety: the tropical part of the island, the Laurel Forest, the high points and the wonderful valleys. The scenery was breathtaking, especially as we had perfect weather EVERY day. All things considered, this was a wonderful holiday and the Island is very special- like stepping back in time. Sometimes in the rural areas, the valleys were silent and the bird life was diverse.
