“This trip excelled our expectations in several ways. The scenery in the walks was magnificent with a good variety - villages, pastoral, wooded, rocky, ravines. The accommodation was very good with lots of facilities on site and a lovely town in short walking distance. The food also excelled expectations - lots of choice at breakfast and choices for the evening meal too. Beautiful quiet location, well-kept grounds - very quiet at night, ideal for sleeping well.”

“I really enjoyed this walking holiday, it was graded a Level 2 and that was right. About 6 hours walking each day, including stops, with 300-500m ascent/descent, taken gently. Some unbelievable beautiful scenery, and also a nice hotel in the middle of a pretty town with lots of restaurants to choose from.”
Top Cultural, Religious and Historic Sites in France
Constructed for the World’s Fair of 1889 and only ever intended to remain standing for a year, the Eiffel Tower is an iconic Paris attraction and still the tallest structure in the French capital.
Situated on the outskirts of the capital, the Palace of Versailles was the main residence of the French kings until the revolution in 1789. Its mix of exquisite gardens and sumptuous interiors make it one of the most popular sites to visit on a tour in France.
Sitting just by its ferry port, Marseille’s cathedral is a gothic splendor first built in the twelfth century and substantially rebuilt in the 1850s. Its black and white exterior acts as a wonderful contrast to the bright blue skies of summer.
While St Tropez may be best known for its beautifully tanned and très chic residents, this Provencal town has a wonderful seventeenth-century citadel fortress containing a maritime museum that offers some of the best vistas in the south of France.
