Ghorepani Trek

Ghorepani Trek is a short and exciting trek that covers the dynamic features of the lower Annapurna region. It is one of the most popular treks of this region, which has enticed thousands of tourists from all over the world. It also gained a huge popularity as it is close to Pokhara, abundant natural views, cultural fascinations and flora and fauna. The trek can be adjoined with the trip to Chitwan National Park so; the family trips can be arranged here.

Ghorepani is a wonderful place populated by the ethnic Magar group. On its surroundings, the rhododendron forests make this region more attractive and picturesque enough for your memorable trek. It is synonymously known as the colourful trekking. Driving to Nayapul, the trek begins from Birethanti after the check-in to Annapurna Conservation Area Permit counter. Walking to Tikhedhunga, the first camp stays here. The steep trail of Ulleri touches the nose while ascending. Then the rhododendron forest comes. All the way to Ghorepani is similar.

Poon Hill, the best viewpoint for the sunrise over the Annapurna Himalayas is about 40 minutes hike from Ghorepani. From the view tower, you can explore the stunning mountain views of Mt Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Mt Fishtail (6998m), Nilgiri (7041m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna II (7939m), Annapurna III (7555m) and the surrounding Himalayas can be explored. Then you trek down and head towards Ghandruk via Tadapani. Ghandruk is also a village with full ethnic traditions. It is populated by the Gurung people. Himchuli and Annapurna are just awesome that can be seen.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (823m).

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedunga (1570 m).

Day 05: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2840m).

Day 06: Hike to Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani (2610m).

Day 07: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m).

Day 08: Ghandruk to Naya Pul and drive to Pokhara.

Day 09: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Day 10: Back Home.
